1. Yours is lovely too mate, but a 5 string fretless is not for me
2. To clarify a few points, it is a Wenge/cherry NT with Cherry wings and Wenge fretboard. Original brass nut and Schaller 3D bridge. I have actually need told it is probably a 1983 from the serial, but I don't really know either way there were about 350 or so of these basses built, the later ones having licensed by Spector all over them.
3.
I've got a headed Status S2 classic with graphite through neck but I'd be after a cash uplift too so taking into account your post I can't see you taking a punt. If it's still available when I've got the money then il snap this up although as previously stated lovely bass so can't imagine it will be knocking around for long ! Good luck with the sale
Cheers buddy
4. I'll listen to offers but I can't promise anything
5. Thanks guys Cracking bass, but need the cash.
6. And the pictures:
7. Up for sale as my recently purchased Fender US Jazz Bass. Really nice example of a US Fender, plays great and sounds great. Bought it because it was local and was impressed when I had a play, but in honesty I am an active bass man and, as suprisingly versatile the tone knob on this is, it isn't for me. To shamelessly steal from Nick's thread (http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2233981) 2009 Fender American Standard Jazz in candy apple red Comes with Fender hard case, strap, truss rod tools and all the other stuff that was in the case when I bought it from PMT in Birmingham in (roughly) October 2009. No dings, very light buckle rash and one very minor scratch on rear by lower horn (see photo), otherwise mint. Currently has a fairly new set of La Bella strings on it. Been kept in the case when not used and lightly gigged. Only reason she has to go is I've got myself a Dingwall and frankly can't justify keeping her (that and a big MOT repair bill) Bass is as described above, however the pickguard around the truss rod hole is a little dented where the tool has been used, nothing to worry about. I will provide more pictures later this evening. Looking for a bargainous £600 collected from Leamington. No trades please, will ship if required for cost plus packaging.
8. Trade Value: £1500 Very recently purchased this and John (Warwickhunt)'s Streamer Stage I with the intention of keeping one and selling the other. Turns out, I love both of them and want to justify keeping both, however the Red suits me more and I think I may let this one go if someone more appreciative wants it! It's a 1984 Warwick Streamer bass. It's in great condition for it's age, bit of discolouration on the bridge, no real dings to mention in the body and the neck is smooth and fault free. Bass has been waxed and cleaned since the pics below, looking lovely . No issues to speak of and plays with a low action, frets have plenty of life, neck is straight and true. It weighs a remarkably light 7lb 9oz, largely owing to its very thin cherry body. It's a wonderful piece of history and a great bass. It pre-dates the 'Licensed by Spector' truss and control covers. I believe the year could be 1983 or 1984, but it was sold to me as 84 so that will do . 114th Streamer ever made. All original as far as I know, with exception to pickup screws (replaced as old one were knarled up) and truss rod cover screws (ones in pictures below have now been replaced with period correct gold screws). EMG pickups and preamp, sounds great with no problems whatsoever. Comes in a non-original hardcase. Pictures: Full album here: http://s75.photobuck...1984%20Streamer Looking for £1250. Trade value probably looking more like £1500. Interested in Warwicks (SSII, Thumb, Dolphin), unlikely to consider anything else but try me. Still a feeler, could be withdrawn by the weekend, but I'd rather be sensible here
9. Pro shots of the 84 http://s75.photobuck...1984%20Streamer
10. My new pair 1984 Warwick Streamer, 113th Warwick bass, predates even the 'Licensed by Spector' truss rod cover. Great condition for its age, and weighs in on my scales at 7lb 9oz . Not sure if I am going to keep hold of it as I fancy a more growly cousin, think SSII, Thumb, Dolphin, but we'll see, early days! Red is 1990 Streamer SSI, bought off John, gorgeous bass and great tone, my new favourite When the sun appears again I will get some decent pictures!
11. Inertia is complete http://www.cogeffects.co.uk/inertia.php
12. Always tickled my fancy, these. Never played one, but they do look the b******* for the money. I heard amongst other things it can do a decent Ric impression, if one were so inclined?
13. Just bought a Warwick from John (what else ), cracking bass and kudos to the fella for being patient with me! Delivered when convenient for me and packed well, can't ask for more. Nice one mate
14.
Make a thin "riser" the size of the bottom of the pedal, out of something like those plastic square ice scrapers for car windows for instance, put velcro under your pedal, and velcro on both sides of the riser and hey presto.
That's what I did with my tlc
15. Oof, was tempted by this last time, such ridiculous money for the quality of instrument. What happened to the original MECs? And do you have the Wizards?
16. Wenge neck that mate, far nice than the ovangkol necks in many players opinion, don't sell yourself short!
17. I still love this bass! What a neck *drool*
18. Try going on their website Still, very curious about them, how bad is the low end loss in reality?
19.
As far as I can tell, Akai don't have any other highly desirable 'leading' pedals or effects out, I just don't understand why they don't reintroduce this pedal to establish a leading product. They could still sell it for £400 and maintain their integrity. I wouldn't be buying one but it seems like a very profitable venture with a cultivated audience.
Problem is, after a good starting period, no one will want to pay £400 for it. It's value is based on rarity as much as it is sound, take away rarity and your just left with a decent digital mass produced synth pedal.
20. The Wonderlove is a development of the groove regular 2, which is a development of the groove regulator Edit: Too slow
21. Welcome back, mate!
22. Let's try and keep this about the bass and not the price
23. It may help your sale if you explain why the bass wasn't for you? As I recall, you listed it for sale very shortly after you won it on eBay?
24. Enjoy the Bass, but as this is a sales thread I would recommend you make a thread in the Bass guitars or Gear Porn section, plenty of pictures!
25. My custom is still being built, but here is a little progress shot
