As Bremen says, it’s a simple enough job, but it won’t be half as pretty. Can I add a second option - a cheap loop pedal with this in the Send and Return with an LED will allow it to function exactly as you described, but will leave your NE-1 in tip-top condition.
  3. A bit of delay on the guitar solo can work wonders , and it doesn’t need to be loud either - not sure whether yours will understand this concept though 😄

  5. Yep, get the hats open a bit more and stay off the ride!
  6. 0.175?!? Jesus, what are you going to use that for, parking your bike?!

  8. Best. Filter. Ever. I love mine! My settings are almost exactly the same as yours too!
  9. Rat Tomago - Zappa
  10. I use compressor > octave > fuzz/drive > envelope filter > chorus for some Stevie Wonder-esque squelchy synth tones.
  11. Add an envelope filter and you’ve nailed it - I do exactly this!
  12. It's a Jed'sPeds PCB of thew EQD warden optical compressor. all soldered up and boxed and with a couple of tweaks it's great! Also, I desoldered the onboard charge pump components and used the 18vdc supply from my power brick, so I'm even further away from the starting line by a handful of components (a 7660S IC, two diodes, and two electrolytic capacitors!) Oh, I also 'upgraded' the opamp from a TL072 to an LM833 - lovely sounding circuit.

Next time I'd drill a slightly deeper pilot hole for the screw - small screws like this don't tend to be high grade steel, and they shear off when too much torque is applied.

Drill a small hole through the centre and carefully glue an even smaller allen key in there, then when the glue has set simply unscrew it. It'll cost you an allen key, but it'll stop you needing to resort to more drastic measures.
  15. I’m in. Got to finish a compressor pcb that I bought last year and finish fixing my DHA VT1 dual custom; neither of which were bought in 2025, and I reckon I’m good.
  16. Changes in ambient temperature are the things to look out for, and a slightly ‘tangy’ bouquet…
  17. Not really, it’s just a larger switch though, so measure it first. those little switches will need a BIG washer to fit inside the large hole in the case though- foot switch holes are generally 13mm diameter, and the toggle switch that you linked to is generally a 6mm hole. Have you looked at car/automotive switches?
  18. Depends what sort of switch is already there, ideally you’d replace a 3pdt with a 3pdt etc… just makes things easier. You *could* use a Dpdt in place of a 3pdt at a pinch, but you’d lose the LED indicator.
  19. Sounds to me like they spent too long producing those albums; an incredible stable of top-flight players that should, in theory, sound amazing, but it’s just lifeless and insipid. shame really.
  20. Technically it’s a minor 7 flat 5.

Ditto. I use switch for most of my components and they’ve been great.

  24. Ooh, I’m currently in possession of two phase pedals, might have to give this a go!
