  1. multi-tracking to the system disk is always risky - could be that it's just bottle-necked on the way in. I used to get this when my buffers were set too low, if you don't need to monitor stuff with low latency whilst recording (like you do when overdubbing etc...) then ramp your buffer up - this is why I like to record bands 'live', they listen to each other in the room, instead of an audio interface.
  2. 1982’s on the phone for you, says you’re wrong.
  3. Low current drain and high fidelity is difficult to achieve!
  4. Of course, you realise that there’s a lot of cork sniffing when choosing opamps - look on any hifi forum, it’s almost as bad as the ‘tonewood’ schism! 😄
  5. Ah, the 'B' word, the bœllocks that dare not speak it name.
  6. Yes, potentially. There might be reverse current protection on the board, but I’m not sure. Check first. also, if you plan to run the unit at 18v you’ll need to connect the batteries in series.

  8. Prince. The real one I mean, not the sweaty nonce one.
  9. Ian Brown and his , erm, alternative views on modern medicine…
  10. Well, given that (by their own definition) they are ‘insane’ surely they can be largely ignored? 😄
  11. Also Ted Nugent and most of the stuff he says.
  12. I visited GC once in college, but I didn't inhale.
  13. I saw it this morning nd thought the weak point was the 'special guests'. Why, just why?
  14. My pedals are even cheaper - I (mostly) build them for about £10 a pop! Admittedly I've just spent 3 times that on my Lovetone Meatball clone, but that's something special!!!
  15. I'm ready if you need a dep for that gig.
  16. So you’re getting even less wood than you pay for? Pffft!
  17. A touch of compression before the octaver, and roll the tone on the bass back a little - less harmonic information into your octaver means it’ll find it easier to find the right pitch.
  18. Great ‘all rounder’ microphone; I’ve used them on brass, saxes, cabs of all shapes and sizes and drums. Always a great sound and a solid build too.
  19. I give it 6 weeks.
  20. Always been curious about the Julia, how does it compare to the EHX small clone?
  21. Shame about the East P-Retro, I think John had some issues with availability of the battery that used on thee, so they were discontinued.
  22. Soda story goes - Erasure
