3.
I saw Greg Lake perform at a small charideeee do a couple of years back and he performed a solo version of 'Lucky Man' (one of my fave songs as a teen back in the pre-punk 70s). His "choir like" voice was still there and I went up to chat to him afterwards, only to be very surprised by his speaking voice which was not a million miles from Ray Winstone's! 30 years of imagining he would sound like something from Brideshead Revisited blown in an instant
Ah It's dangerous to meet your heroes. I still believe in Father Christmas, though ...
 4. is that the "1970's" jazz bridge position?
 5. No mention of Uncle's loft? Must be fake. But seriously £9000 of bass hung from a machinehead on a bit of string? Really! Some people!
 6.
eek, this is so useful, too useful! I'm going to end up buying ishibashis entire stock.
If you want something particular you need to get up about 6am and do yoru search. When you spot something you fancy email immediately to express your interest. They generally will pull it from the website for you to consider (so save teh images whilst it's still there if you need to) If you leave it beyond about 10 the US guys get on and it will be gone.
 7. I've bought from them. No problem at all. Was it the super clean PB62?
 8.
Cool! Come up & say 'Hi' afterwards
Just don't burn the place down
 9.
+2 never again
I had no finger prints on my left fingers all the way through the 70's .. That was down to Roto's ..
 10. Wow a featured half bar AND a name check in Dance to the Music. ....
 11. I did my first "audition" for many a year recently. It took 3 months to get to the studio after my initial enquiry. Each email took 10 days to get an answer... The short version is that their drummer failed the audition .. so laid back that beat 2 was actually on the 1st 16th of beat three.... all the time .. I was falling over him the whole night ... "Thanks", I said on the way out, "but I'm not the droid you are looking for .." I just know I'd be looking to annihilate the drummer after every gig .. Shame though cos the main man was really good and charismatic and they had SXSW and a little European little tour lined up .. Oh well ...
 12. Grolsh lock still in place
 13.
Hey OG, Thanks very much, I totally understand what your saying. I'll have a really good look through the thread today, and then send you a PM if thats cool. Much appreciated. Jesse
Thanks Video killed the radio star on two guitars, bass 'n' drums? Nice one, nice vocal too.
 14.
Hey knowledgeable dudes! Just wondering if you'd care to have a quick look at our site? It's been up for a few months now, and the feedback has been generally positive. However, I'm always looking for new ways to improve, and some feedback from fellow musicians with geeky css seo experience I'm sure would be a big help... and much appreciated! I built the site using a cms called "squarespace". So far I can't see any disadvantages with doing things this way but I could be wrong?! The website is www.thepanoramics.com Cheers! Jesse
Happy to do so Jesee, and I can see a few things to do already just looking at your home page for 30 seconds, however, 'cos I've written up a lot of the common problems I've got a set of [s]rules[/s] rough guidelines for this .. Basically I'd like you to read right through this thread first, looking for stuff your website has and needs .. once you've done that come back and tell me your band objectives - for the site anyway - ie what kind of gigs you are after etc.. and we can take it from there.. Happy to do it then but I am sure you'll understand that I don't have time to say the same things to everyone when they are here in the thread already PM is Ok too if you don't want it all out here OG

 19.
Thanks for this. Ironically I thought it was a Special until I googled and stumbled across the Lyte. Should've stuck with my instincts. It reminds me of Duff McKagan's bass from the early G 'n' R days (but not white!). Anyhow, post modified to reflect your update. Ta
S'tru Lytes come in several flavours but this isn't one of them

 25. Hiyah I had some problems when I moved from 90% pick playing to 70% finger playing a year or so ago (after 40 years of pick playing). I had aching arms, shoulders and elbows ... Physio worked out I was leaning forward and arching my shoulders more than before so just got me to stand up straight. Not all the time but between songs or phrases and just pull my shoulders back. This opened up the nerve paths in my shoulders and fixed it. I also use a powerball for arm fitness.
