To call it a circuit is a bit much. It's basically just a resistor and a cap added to a standard circuit to create a sort of simulated high pass and low pass filter to prevent muddiness. Highway 1 styleee.

There was a link posted recently to a really good explanation of what "headroom" actually is... and is not. I think it might be helpful here.

I wouldn't say that J pup is all that random. A lot of effort has gone in to making the pole pieces line up perfectly. Good job I'd say. How does the G string on the J pup sound though?

Looking around me I see 8 (and half basses) and Strat... and that's just the room I'm sitting in. I play them all. They all feel and play differently. But as I'm in [s]only one band again[/s] two bands, I only gig with [s]only one[/s] two of them - the ones which work best with the bands... My main band is in dropped tuning therfore I need a bass specifically set up just for that. The others all give me something else though - perhaps allowing me to keep up with a little extra technique that my main bass doesn't naturally offer or inspiring new riffs which I don't hear from my workhorse. edited because just been asked to join another band since writing this.

[/quote] Very overrated bridge. I read all the bumph, stuck one on a P project test-bed which previously bore a bbot expecting miracles and.... nothing. As far as I can see the concept is sound but it takes up too much real estate the spacing is fixed (a little too tight) and there is no sonic advantage whatsoever. Stick with Hipshot or Schaller.

It's a 7ply as opposed to a 9.... but that seems to be about it.

Never got 'em. I don't mind the antique look on the bodies (skiddy burst I call it) but the effect does not translate to the pickguard, it's just too fake... gaudy even.
