  1. ***BRAND NEW AND UNUSED*** ***NOW £100*** Hi all! Selling this Morley 20/20 Power Fuzz Wah pedal. Unleash your inner Cliff Burton \m/ This is essentially brand new - bought at the start of this year and never used. In fact, it has never been out of the box and I have taken it out today for the first time for pics! The 20/20 range have a much smaller footprint than the massive old school Morley wahs so this is great for a compact pedalboard. Cool optical operation too so no traditional clicky footswitch to turn on. All specs here: https://www.morleyproducts.com/2020-power-fuzz-wah/ I'm now asking £100 - and this one is essentially brand new. Can post to UK for an additional £5 (2nd class) Please PM me with any questions Thanks for looking! Danny
  2. PRICE DROP TO £450 Hi all! Selling this beautiful Epiphone Jack Casady bass in Ebony Black. This really is an immaculate example of a cult classic and I can find no marks anywhere on it, with just a minor bit of swirling in the finish. Unsure of year (I bought it second hand) but it's in superb condition. I love this bass but have just bought the Alpine White version and don't need both! The range of tones is exceptional, I used it for some acoustic and jazz stuff on the 50 setting and it fit right in, with loads of compliments about the look obviously! The warm bloom of the note with the hollowbody is just lovely. Flick a switch to 500 and you have a big up-front modern sound which pairs very well with a high gain amp or pedal. With flats it's also a whole other level. As I said above - I like these basses so much, I bought a white one which I will cherish as much as I have this one. Set up and intonated perfectly tonight with brand new Roto Nickels and it's singing like a bird with a fairly standard action of 3mm at fret 17. I have removed the scratchplate as I love the look without it, but I will of course include this in the sale. Price is £450 and I can post to anywhere in the UK for an additional £20, and she will be very well packaged. No trades thanks! Please PM me with any questions Thanks for looking Danny
  3. Yes I am looking at some options now. I see 64 Audio make a useful looking clip. I might order a bunch of different designs and see which one works best. Definitely think avoiding tug on the cable would make for a more secure fit throughout the gig.
  4. Probably been asked on the thread somewhere - but are any of you guys using shirt clips to secure your IEMs? I'm quite an active performer and run the cable under my shirt to wireless belt pack. The cable hangs loose other than that. The weight of my guitar strap somewhat secures it in place under my shirt - but I see some guys clipping the cable to the rear collar of their shirt/tee etc. I guess it would help prevent tug on the cable and subsequent loosening of the phones. Any suggestions? Pros/cons?
  5. Great speakers. I run two for my rock band with no subs. A great buy for someone!
  6. Relicing on poly finishes makes me feel queasy. Reminds me of this monstrosity that was for sale in Ireland recently. Surprisingly, it sold.
  7. Went for the Neotech medium pouch and it fits the strap perfectly. Flawless operation so far from the Shure - might order a slightly shorter jack cable for it but otherwise very pleased!
  8. Thanks for sharing this! Never gave VH a look before but really enjoyed this and have added a few of their tunes to my playlists now. Great gig!
  9. I use ZS10s as my backup set and I'm not sure you can get absolutely rumbling low end from them. Maybe worth trying a larger tip to improve the seal - Comply make good foam ones that have improved mine a bit.
  10. I would suggest teaching too, even on a peripatetic basis. If you teach during the majority of the school year (say Sept to May) it still leaves you free for your busy gigging period. I found that making a living from just playing functions/gigs is virtually impossible to sustain year-round - so having something else always helps.
  11. How do you guys sort out the extra cable slack between jack output and transmitter pack? I was thinking about adding some kind of sleeve to the bottom part of the strap to conceal/semi secure the cable to the strap. Any ideas?
  12. It was the biggest one I have ever played! 10k people in Belfast. A night I will never forget! Loads more pics and vids on my Instagram if anyone would like to see https://instagram.com/dannymccormackbass
  13. First outing for the D16+ tonight and it performed admirably (see pic)! May have to lower the gain a little as it felt a bit clippy at times. Has anyone else had this experience?
  14. Sounds weird. A few things I would check: 1. Are the string heights consistent (bridge, nut etc) 2. Are they old strings? 3. Does the issue persist both in active and passive modes? 4. Are the pole pieces on the pickups visibly OK?
  15. Any suggestions for a pouch to fit a really wide strap? I use Gruvgear Solostrap Neo and hope there's an option to suit!
  16. Just bought the 16+ for my board. I saw Simon McBride using one with Deep Purple - a good enough endorsement for me! Will report back with findings
  17. We all went to different companies. A couple to JH, UE, 64 Audio etc depending on individual preference and need.
  18. I'm not a fan of the Aguilar TH stuff personally. I could never get a good tone from a TH500 - always too much drive/distortion even with Drive control completely off. Obviously this might be a desirable tone depending on your style but for me it wasn't clean enough.
  19. EBMM finally fixed the pickup alignment with the Specials, after over 40 years of a poor design. The current Rays are by far the best EBMM have made for this reason.
  20. Do the controls have a centre detent for flat?
  21. I didn't. I persisted with them for 6 months or more but just could not sacrifice any more gigs with terrible sound quality. I tried everything possible with EQ and even tried amending my bass tone to suit, which in hindsight was the wrong thing to do. Having went from a set of UE11 to these, the difference was stark. I then moved to JH Roxannes and have never looked back. Tight bass and crisp highs with no potential for hearing loss! The Lugs ended up in the bin and now I use a set of KZ ZS10 as a backup which sound better IMO. EDIT - I should add that I really wanted to like the Lugs as the guy is local to me (around 40 minute drive) and I loved the idea of a genuine contender in the IEM market being a local company. Sadly it didn't work out like that. Just my own experience!
  22. I have to say my experience with Lugs earphones leaves a lot to be desired. While the fit of the moulds and seal were both good - the sound was awful. I bought a set of quad driver phones and the bass just sounded like mush. I found I could never hear what I wanted, despite the phones running at ear-bleeding levels. It seemed like all the drivers were just thrown into the earphones without any tuning/crossovers to make them sound good. All 6 of my band have since moved on from Lugs for similar reasons.
  23. I would love to have loved this but I can see a couple of reasons why I wouldn't buy one: 1. A Bass control centred at 40hz is surely only usable as a cut. Boosting 40hz would just be mush. Makes it a bit redundant IMO. 80hz or thereabouts would have been much more musical. 2. I can't think of any reason why I would want to engage Bright/Deep mid-set that would require the use of a footswitch. Perhaps a mute would have been better.
  24. Here in Norn Iron, you could survive on function band playing but certainly not make what I would call a good living. Functions here might pay £200 per gig, so after tax/fuel/misc expenses etc you would need to be playing 10 functions a month to pay the same as a minimum wage job would. 10 functions a month might be possible in Summer months and around Christmas but you will be doing virtually nothing in Jan/Feb/Nov etc. Anyone I know who does this type of work always has something else on the side for bread and butter.
