Thank you Douglas, I'm sorry I breached regulations, 'cough' I for one appreciate all of your efforts. Tom.
No need for gushing thanks (although appreciated, all the same...) a simple (large...) cheque in the post does wonders for our morale.
Wise words Douglas, but if the Mods can't get it right, what hope for the rest of us?...
None whatsoever.
I suspect the choking effect of his massive fingers played a part. Maybe wearing gloves would help.
Like this, maybe..? http://youtu.be/IF83h5ssyjc

Good afternoon, Tom... We (the Mods...) are on the case, and have been chasing this up for quite some time. There are really two issues here: firstly, as you point out, those who post 'Sold' in their topic, but don't add 'Sold' (or 'Withdrawn', or 'Traded'; those are the only three permitted 'code' words' admitted...) to the title; worse still, for us, are those that remove the title completely, instead of simply ADDING the 'code' word to their title. Sold, OK, but what was it..? Whenever we come across these anomalies we take it up with the OP, to remind them of the Marketplace rules and etiquette. Most folks understand and comply; there are always those few recalcitrant ones that recidivate; we have stronger methods available to us that we're loth to use, but sometimes needs must. For my part, I systematically go through all the 'Open' ads, looking for ads that have got 'Sold' in the topic, but not in the title. Believe me when I say it's a thankless, lacklustre task which takes up quite considerable time, but always throws up older ads that have sold since my last trawl. So much the better for the Seller, but ADDING 'Sold' to the title makes life so much better for all. After all, it's in the interests of every Seller to have up-to-date, pertinent information in the Marketplace, inciting Buyers to browse through and find bargains, isn't it..? I really don't see what more could be done, within the techniques available to us, and without becoming overbearing (we don't want to become too much like the BC Police, despite what some may think..!). Thanks for posting; hope this helps future successful Sellers to understand and comply, for the good of all; meanwhile... Have a nice day Douglas Just for the record, your 'rant' post is, itself, in breach of the Marketplace rules, and as such, will now be moved to a more suitable section...

PICS:...
Nope, no pics; only the dreaded Photobucket Lurgy panel, begging for your money. Try another (free...) photo host (Flickr, Imgur, ImgBB or other...), maybe..?
It's ok, you can send it my address if you win ;-)
Fine, we'll arrange a mutually acceptable collection time. No need to go to any trouble or anything special, just Earl Grey, please, with a twist of lemon, and Digestives.

Only open to US or UK folks, though.

Nota bene: Information posted by the OP in a later, duplicate, ad, which has been deleted... It's a great sounding P Bass, but I have '62 P Bass, which I keep reaching for so sadly, this one has to go. I've only used it a couple of time outside of my home, so it's had most of its use in the home studio. It's had a few modifications - The original pickup has been replaced with a Bartolini 8CPB, which is the classic Bartolini P Bass pickup and sounds really fat. The modern badass look-a-like bridge has been replaced by a standard Fender bridge, which I think really suits the classic P Bass look. I have a Rebel Relic lightly aged scratch plate in off white, which I think gives the look of the bass a nice lift (photographs show original scratch plate) and lastly, I've added a tug bar, which finishes of the traditional P Bass look. Currently strung with D'Addario XL170's the bass plays and sound well. It's previously been strung with Thomastik Infeld Jazz strings, which were a little lighter in gauge and it's played and sounded awesome with that set up. The bass comes with the original black factory fitted scratch plate and the Rebel Relic aged plate, Fender gig back and all the bits & pieces that are included in the original sale. The original pickup and bridge aren't included in the sale. The bass is ready to go to the first take so no time wasters please. I'm based in the North East.

Good evening, Keith... Just to make you aware that we have a a rule on BC restricting bumping of these to once every 36 hours, to make sure all ads get an equal crack of the whip. If you could bear that in mind in future, that would be great. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation, and good luck with the sale; meanwhile... Have a nice day Douglas
All worked out really well - both couriers delivered in a timely fashion with no damage (The dutch courier was a third of the cost ). Both of us really pleased with our new basses.
-

Good afternoon, Amy, and ... [sharedmedia=core:attachments:167528] Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share. I can't help with the bass questions (I'm a drummer... ), but someone will doubtless be along to guide you.

With great pleasure... The Return Of The Return Of The Return Of... well, you get the idea... 'One From The Cage', from Bleat ... A daring work from the start. We are taken to a world of mystery and anticipation. The introductory stillness is vaguely reminiscent of a well-known piano work (although it has been interpreted in many forms...), and blends in perfectly with the following movement, equally muted. One could almost imagine a soothing crescendo as the piece progresses from chaste quiet to deafening silence, unbearably holding our avid attention right up to the final uproarious quelling of all sound... Four minutes, thirty-three seconds of pure bliss. Thank you, Bleat, for the rich experience of listening to the sounds in my own head, and no more.
