  4. [quote name='Kingbassist' timestamp='1507372626' post='3384998'] I have pics ready to go but it won't let me upload themKB... [/quote] KB... Try this, perhaps, to free up some space if your picture quota has been reached..? [color=#800080]Go to your 'My Profile' (your pseudo, top right...). Select 'Edit my Profile' (black button a bit below...). Select 'Manage Attachments' (in the list on the left...). They are listed in date order. Navigate to oldest, select those to be deleted (tick boxes on the right...). Select 'Delete Selected' (grey button at bottom right of list...). Repeat, page by page, until all unwanted attachments are deleted.[/color] Using the BBCode link supplied by an external photo account such as Flickr, Imgur or Imgbb is a good idea; the photos are better presented and it uses no BC server space. I use Imgur (it's free...); here's what it looks like (the correct link for Basschat is in green...) ... Others are similar (assuming use of a PC; I no nothing of other devices...). Hope this helps...
  5. Tuned drums might have helped, too.

  7. Good evening, Shonks, and ... [sharedmedia=core:attachments:167528] Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share. You took your time overcoming your timidity, though..! Ah, the youth of today, eh..?
  8. Well, just how lucky can you get..? Just when a picture comes along for which I had, for many reasons, no particular inspiration, I chanced upon the very source I needed, and no farther afield than at the end of my own garden..! Out early, thinking to do a little light weeding, I thought I caught, out of the corner of my eye, a furtive movement in the hedgerow. Hardly daring to breath, I carefully took out my portable recording device (one never knows when an opportunity will strike, and struck it had indeed..!) and managed to capture the antics of this dainty creature, unaware of my presence..! She had fashioned a swing from the branches of our old apple tree, and, singing gently to herself, began to rock to and fro, higher and higher, faster and faster. Too much, though, for the poor old tree, which, despite the slight weight of the mere slip of an elf, gave audible signs of discomfort. Hearing this complaint, the swinging slowed and came to a halt. The moment was ended; the creature vanished. All that was left was the continued chirping and warbling of the wildlife in the vicinity, and the low rush of the morning breeze. I scurried back to my 'pica-studio' to listen eagerly to the sounds captured; here they are... [url="https://soundcloud.com/dad3353/a-creaking-bough"]A Creaking Bough ...[/url]

  13. As above; the '[color=#282828][font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif]Price or Trade Value : £450' is set by the System, and cannot be edited. Putting the current price in the title, and at the top of your first post, is best.[/font][/color] [color=#282828][font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif]Good luck with the sale.[/font][/color]
  14. [quote name='roman_sub' timestamp='1507042430' post='3382965'] 2 guitars and 2 basses in photo, Dad! [/quote] Just you wait till you get to my age, young whippersnapper, and we'll see if you can distinguish between the two at forty paces..! ...
  15. Choose a few songs you like and play the chord notes of those songs. At appropriate moments, 'join the dots' by moving from one chord note to that of the next chord, chromatically. (Other plans are available...)
  16. I see a photo with four basses. I'm using a PC, Win 10, 'Opera' browser.
  17. [quote name='leschirons' timestamp='1507034461' post='3382880'] It is you then, I want a word with you about some "right of way" for the fertiliser factory [/quote] What's the problem..? It's just a load of old crap, no..?
  18. [quote name='discreet' timestamp='1507027820' post='3382787'] Click on 'Edit' in your ad, then 'Use Full Editor'. [/quote]
  19. [quote name='cheddatom' timestamp='1507020518' post='3382699']... So then when I got on stage I was still in that great frame of mind, didn't hear any of my minuscule errors, and once again everything was easy and I played really well. Maybe I'll try to remember this guy every time I'm about to go on [/quote] There's probably someone in the crowd watching [i]you [/i]getting the same 'buzz' from your own playing..!

  21. [quote name='Bilbo' timestamp='1506970290' post='3382444'] Sorry, Dad. I edited your post instead of quoting it... [/quote] [quote name='Bilbo' timestamp='1506970290' post='3382444'] ...Sorry if it fails to inspire. [/quote] S'not your fault, nor the picture, it's just personal stuff right now. It's a good distraction, though, so I'm game for an attempt, at least. You never know, I might get higher than third this time..!
  22. [quote name='Deep Thought' timestamp='1506960264' post='3382329'] One of my favorite guitar players is Neil Young-love his tone... [/quote] Now [i]there's [/i]a phrase I didn't expect to see (ever...)..! ...
  23. Woodroffe is my guess. Spot on, Pop.
  24. I hear that the Vienna Philharmonic are free next week; maybe a tie-up with the little'un could work..? Just a thought.
  25. Doomed to fall, maybe..?
