  1. Can you feel it - Jackson 5
  2. Always and forever- Heatwave
  3. Ideal for getting one back on the neighbours with noisy kids.
  4. I never really considered these as "real" Trace Elliots even though they did have one thing in common with your full cream milk TEs - weight!! For a small practice amp they don't half weigh something.
  5. My late sister was in a care home for the last 10 years of her life which had a fella come in and do Brat Pack, Nat King Cole, Andy Williams, etc. You might find a few classics on these.. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Music-Watch-Girls-Various/dp/B00000JP1J https://www.amazon.co.uk/Music-Watch-Girls-Various-Artists/dp/B00002R0W2/ref=pd_bxgy_sccl_1/257-5527647-3643221?pd_rd_w=bkYoW&content-id=amzn1.sym.40f919ed-e530-4b1a-8d7e-39de6587208d&pf_rd_p=40f919ed-e530-4b1a-8d7e-39de6587208d&pf_rd_r=45MGYG5J4E2JKNE5YPYP&pd_rd_wg=IyBIS&pd_rd_r=d30e7344-8557-4051-b47d-b6bf7d0e32e0&pd_rd_i=B00002R0W2&psc=1
  6. What is worse is when there are more than one version of the same band touring simultaneously. Lots of examples - I watched the documentary on the Bay City Rollers recently which stated that at one time there were 3 different versions of the band on tour at one stage (coincidently one was booked for a company do by one of my neighbours).
  7. Happy talk - Captain Sensible
  8. The Shoop shoop song - Cher
  9. The more I see these (two now) the more I like them. GLWTS
  10. Cold 'n' brown - The Stranglers
  11. What?? The point you're trying to make is..??
  12. Don't slow down - UB40
  13. Have a listen when you have a spare 35 minutes. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/w3ct4y4b?xtor=ES-212-[63222_worldservicenewsletter030823]-20230803-[bbcrworldservice_crowdscience_sad_link]
  14. Say, say, say - McCartney and Jackson
  15. I'm disappointed...not with the website, with Mark. It's been a bit of a saga getting the Aguilar preamp fitted to my Spector 6er but Mark kept making reassuring noises about helping the techs install it. This amounted to sending the current techs a pdf with 5 wiring diagrams without clarifying which to use. Despite his reassurances he has been uncontactable by phone. The last contact was Mark referring to Aguilar themselves, in the States, and 8 hours time difference. Feels like he's washed his hands of the matter despite his comments about providing support. As I said, disappointed 😞 ☹
  16. I have lots of foam which I'd used as dampeners - can't think why I stopped using it.
  17. I was going to ask whether it was an ebony fretboard - no need now.
  18. If you like that super clean and bright tone this is the way to go: https://lordofthestrings.com/en/brands/ebs-sweden I had them on a bass - hated them!!
  19. A bit predictable but... Black dog - Led Zep
  20. Too bright for me. I prefer a mellower tone so tapewounds ideally - nickel preferred over steels.
  21. My thinking is leave it alone - not a bad little bass but not something I'd get a return on if I did upgrade the parts. It is what it is...a good little bass.
  22. I acquired one of these to see what their like. Amazing little basses!! Previous owner had raised the action for no apparent reason - once lowered and reset it plays really nice. Very light strings make it really easy to play - "plays itself" - limited tonal range but anybody wanting to mess with the tone can always get effects pedals. This would make an excellent child's first bass or just for noodling in front of the telly. Easily worth the asking price.
  23. Return to sender - Elvis
  24. Charlie says - The Prodigy
  25. More facking heart ache - new tech says the wire colours don't correspond to the wiring diagram. Plans to ring Mark at BD tomorrow (but didn't email in advance This is turning into a proper Greek Saga.
