  6. I really hate control freaks who think that it's all about them and throw their toys out of the pram when somebody does something that wasn't in their plan. Let him involve himself in self penetration.

  8. More stylish than the yellow plastic eggs I use....
  9. I'm on the other side of the fence. I don't think the distortion brings anything to the track - especially as the singer has quite a good voice. Personally I'd take it out.
  10. When love breaks down - Prefab Sprout Remember how good this track is?
  11. Feeling hot, hot, hot - The Merrymen
  12. If you need to borrow an amp in the meantime I can drop off my Elf.
  13. After reading Mick Karn's autobiography and how David Sylvian would manipulate situations till he got his own way I feel like a bit of an Iscariot however I couldn't help but buy David Sylvian's "Gone to Earth". Have a listen to the first track - some really good fretless work - and you'll forgive me...
  14. Happy - Pharell

  16. Agreed. I'm surprised that nobody else made this comment earlier.
  17. The same fella who I used. He's retired due to arthritis. Simmons Electronic Drums used to be made locally and many of the former employees live in Hatfield. I know a few of them but haven't seen them for years. I'm trying to find them for future projects. I'll update the thread if/ when it happens. Ross, if you're desperate try contacting Pedro at Sims TV in Hatfield Town centre. They're a man down currently so repairs are slow currently.
  18. Don't worry, be happy - Bobby McFerrin

  23. There's another clean(er) semi acoustic on the same page.
  24. Found this on the Reverb site - looks very nice.
  25. Came across this rather nicely proportioned vintage bass on Gumtree. I really like the proportions. I've never seen or heard of these basses - though there's a brief history on the ad I'm still wondering why. https://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-instrument/1960-s-vintage-melodija-4-string-hollow-body-bass-restoration-project-/1464380597 Historical facts about Melodija: Some of Melodija guitars were Hofner guitars made under licence. As well as at golden guitar making era when Hofner experienced extremely high demand for their instruments to be made, as a sequence some necks for their models were made in Megnes Melodija Guitar Factory in Slovenia. Italian guitar brand Giemmei Guitars (Giocattoli Musicali Italiani) sold their particular guitar models on order, made by “Melodija” although instruments were sold under “Giemmei” guitar brand name. Does anybody know any more?
