  1. I believe I can fly - R. Kelly Damn - and I thought it was a good 'un!!
  2. Not totally sure but my BBG5S is very similar to my BB605. I can't check as the BB605 is at the luthiers currently.
  3. Money well spent I'd say.
  4. Five to one - The Doors
  5. I fear that you may find yourself throwing money at an unobtainable goal. Marcus is Marcus, you are you. Whether you will ever be able to replicate his tone as closely as you would like may depend on far too many factors, some of which are out of your control. Good luck though.
  6. I bought a white pearlescent one based on how good my orange burst was. Seemed pointless having two of the same bass so I sold the OB and kept the white pearl. As is the way with Yamaha - you get a lot of bass for not a lot of money.
  7. I have an unused neck for one of these, bought in error.
  8. Church of the Poison Mind - Culture Club
  9. That looks very similar to my Cherry headless bass. (which I can't find photos of...)
  10. Bogey nights - Heatwave
  11. Australia??? I have a couple of mates who live there - Jim and Deano. You must know them - say hello from me next time you see them...😉😉
  12. I use one of these for my BB615 which I assume is a similar length/width. https://hiscoxcases.com/products/large-peardrop-bass-guitar-hard-case-pro-ii-spec or https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266128446095?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338365712&toolid=20006&customid=EB106353122&
  13. IIRC Fender make short scale Flats at a very reasonable price.... Can't find the shortscale but: https://www.bax-shop.co.uk/electric-bass-strings/fender-9050l-stainless-9050s-flatwound-bass-strings-light?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=surfaces&gclid=Cj0KCQiAgaGgBhC8ARIsAAAyLfFRM1sAY9g_cBgLMCqd5YQJLOf_9FDkX_aANUGGIZkuUOrdWHLUvDAaAuj0EALw_wcB
  14. Great minds think alike....
  15. The link: https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/LaBella_Flatwound_strings.html However: La Bella Strings Guide: Finding the Right Scale Set for Your Bass Knowing your bass’ “scale length” is not enough information to purchase the correct set. Figuring out your bass’ required “string wound length” is key BEFORE you purchase a set from ANY string manufacturer. How to Figure out the “String Wound Length” your Bass Requires: On your bass, measure the distance from the ball-end to just past the nut (you may have to remove the string if the string goes through the body). Then use our key to figure out the correct set for your bass: La Bella Short Scale Set: 32 .” Wound Length La Bella Medium Scale Set: 34 .” Wound Length La Bella Standard/Long Scale Set: 36 .” Wound Length La Bella Extra Long Scale: 38" Wound Length STRING WOUND LENGTH Note the Following: • Make sure the string wound length clears the nut. • For flat wounds, make sure the wound portion of the string does NOT wrap around the tuning post (or else they will break). • Do not use standard flat wound bass sets on basses that require stringing through the body of the bass (or else they will break). We have Through-Body “-TB” models for those basses e.g. 760FL-TB, 760FS-TB, etc. • La Bella Beatle Bass sets can ONLY be used on Beatle basses (and very similar models). Do NOT try them on standard basses or they will break. Please email [email protected] with specific questions about your bass. Thanks for playing La Bella!
  16. "There is another option if you want to get your Moogerfooger kicks right now, of course: Moog recently brought back the entire range of pedals in a suite of plugins, and very nice it is, too. So, it looks like you’ll have a choice: analogue clones of the hardware from a different company or official plugins from the original manufacturer. Up to you."
  17. When I saw the thread title I assumed that somebody is cloning Behringer pedals. That would have been ironic.
  18. When arranging the Herts Bashes I found that people were reluctant to travel 20 miles to the event. Whether people would travel from all four corners of the country is debatable. I would be reluctant to travel to Sheffield from Hertfordshire. Re: the cost of events, Bassface2K10 and I met the initial costs for the event - drinks, food, raffle prizes, etc - knowing that the money wouldn't be coming back to us, as all the proceeds went to the venue (what had been our local club). In effect we both paid around £50 each to put on the event. If somebody is paying for a venue they're going to need a lot of attendees just to break even.
  19. Why make a music video and not play? That low F# will get virtually no use so pointless having it IMO. I struggled to stay with this - the rambling and lack of any intelligent answers made this a video I won't be revisiting.
  20. Daddy Cool - also Boney M
  21. You spin me right round - Dead or Alive
  22. Just like Jesse James - Cher
  23. Didn't you have to pay more for fewer switches?
