1. Ok, it should be a simple fit. Unscrew the old bridge, place the new bridge ontop and check that the holes line up properly, if they do then screw the new bridge in gently and put some strings through to check it lines up.
2. how many screws does your current bridge have to attach it to the bass?
3.
Some interesting reading on there. This looks like a cool project until you get nearer the bottom of the ad: http://www.joinmyban...ed-t456104.html
'not a control freak' eh? excuse me if I don't believe him.
4.
What about the ones that change your rehearsal arrangements so you have an extra hours journey (but they dont strangely) instead of arranging to meet half way....?
This has happened in every band I've ever been in. I've always had to travel much further than everyone else...I didn't mind the travelling too much, but the worst part is when they don't even recognise the extra effort you put in to get to rehearsals and gigs.
5. If you do need to cut the springs, I have plenty of spares I could send you if you needed any.
6. Tbh, I doubt you would lose sleep over it. Both will be great bridges for you bass
7. out of the two you posted, I would take the aggie. While I prefer the Orange for basic tone, the aggie has more variety available, which would keep me busy for longer
8. if you don't mind ordering from the US: http://www.ebay.co.u...2089#vi-content
9. Oh, how odd...I've never seen a thru-body Fender bridge like that before.
10. Don't Fender thru-body bridges allow top-loading and thru-stringing? all of my USA Fenders have done.
11. ....just...why. why would you do that, especially if it actually is a USA P bass
12. It's not a bad idea at all I used to have one of my 4 strings set up like that, was great for when I played lots of low tuned metal stuff. Depending on the gauge, you may need to widen the nut slots a bit, but that isn't too difficult.
13. what is up with the pickups? is that a '51 style single coil in the bridge position?
14. If you paid by gift then you don't have any buyer protection from paypal hopefully the mods can help sort this out.
15. the worst stuff I have had to play through are the old peavey combos that rehearsal places insist on providing. They always seem to buy them second hand cos they are cheap, and pretty much every one I have used farts out on low notes as soon as you get the volume high enough to rehearse with. Ghastly things.
16. what a twunt surely having fun is one of the biggest parts of playing music. and his attitude to sharing his music is laughable. I would love to read all the replies he will (not) get.
17. another thought: you can pick up used peavey and trace cabs on here for almost nothing at moment. they will sound good, and are built like tanks
18. 1 is definitely the USA P-bass, it has that very nice sound I'm used to hearing from mine. Not sure about the other two though. 3 sounds a bit nicer than 2.
19. you should think about adding an extra 0 to the wattage ratings of those speakers. as has already been said, bass frequencies require a great deal more power to produce than guitar frequencies, so while 30W speakers may work great for your guitar, if you use them with a bass you will get very poor response, and are very likely to blow the drivers. also, if the cab is wired for 16 ohms, you will get very little power from your bass head, and probably won't be loud enough for gigs and possibly rehearsals. I would suggest either wiring it for 4 ohms, or using 8 ohm speakers so you can add another cab later if you need/want it.
20. I am very happy sticking with the bass I haven't found a single other instrument that I can sit down for hours at a time and just play. That said, I do wish I had a better singing voice.
21. for what it is, I quite liked it. The lyrics aren't going to win any awards, that's for sure I do agree that it sounds too thin with only one guitar (the guitar solo part being the exception, cos there were two guitar tracks for that) the groove riff at 2:10 is really nice though
22. any links to a site/thread for the mod and modding company?
23. awesome looks like I have a new project for the evenings after work, hehe.
