Just sold Andy a 4U rack case with rack tuner inside, which unfortunately turned up badly damaged . I've chatted to him on here and over the phone to try and sort it out and he is a wonderful guy really helpful and friendly and a pleasure to do business with.

downloading the stems now very interested to open everything up in logic and see what I can do with this. It will undoubtedly send me loopy, but I might just learn something

I may well attempt this this month. I know naff all about mixing though haha.

Hey all, I may have an audition with a metalcore band coming up, and if I get the spot I am going to need a 5 string as they play alot of stuff in B and drop A. I would being looking at used stuff only, as I don't have alot of cash to spare. My first obvious thought is an Ibanez SR505 as they are cheap and alot of people say good things about them, but I was wondering if there are any other options I should consider. Cheers

So he is saying it's a fender custom shop but doesn't show the certificate, (also I don't think custom shop orders had the S-1 system did they?), and saying he bought it from denmark street but the location is marked as China....smells very iffy to me. Also, a zero feedback seller doesn't help matters. I would say that, at best, it's an early 2000s US Fender, and at worst it's a Chinese copy with a Fender sticker.

I have 2 Ampeg SVT210AV cabs and I think they sound really nice. At 12kg each they are nice and light too

Also, it is worth bearing in mind that most online retailers will do deals. I got 100 quid off my 2012 USA Precision along with free delivery and a free set of DR strings when I ordered.

If you are looking for the option of adding a bit of grit to your sound, may I suggest a SansAmp (or Behringer BDI 21 if you want the cheap equivalent), or the VT Bass pedal.

[/quote] 15's do no inherently lack top end, and 10's/12's do not inherently lack bass/low end, it is a widely told myth I'm afraid. There are other factors such as the Xmax and SPL ratings, as well as the cab volume etc that will affect the tonal qualities of the cab, but driver size alone is not one of them. There are a few useful pages on the barefaced website that will explain this alot better than I can, as I am not an audio engineer I seriously doubt you will be disappointed by any Barefaced or Bergantino cab, as every single one of their offerings I've had the pleasure of trying has been fantastic. (If only I could afford them haha)

The nicest ashdown rig I've had was a MAG600 head and a MAG410 cab, sounded great, and even better with my sansamp going into the input, I loved it, and tbh should never have sold it.
