  1. @Rib13Bass good, entertaining video. They are not all made in Korea. Mine is made in Japan.
  2. Bit (too) late to the thread, but there is also the big PMT store in Old Street, not far from the City.
  3. Fantastic, thank you!
  4. Cool, then put me down for that ๐Ÿ˜Š
  5. I am coming from Grantham. Itโ€™s good, I can take the train and then a bus from Nottingham station.
  6. @Frank Blank I will be using public transport, hence canโ€™t bring very much. I have a couple of semi interesting basses that people may be curious about and tempted to have a play on. So besides curiosity, I could bring a Kramer 450B (alu neck) if it can be plugged into someone elseโ€™s rig.
  7. Thank you @Frank Blank and @Richard R
  8. I have never been to a bash. Can you only get in if you set up shop and bring some gear? No โ€œvisitors onlyโ€?
  9. @Alex Buzzard is looking for a Mosrite (among others) - this gives off quite the Mosrite vibe. Could be an option?
  10. Welcome @Woolly
  11. DOD fx72 Bass Stereo Flanger for me. Found the sounds I was after pretty quickly and never needed to try an alternative.
  12. From your original photo, I would say it is the cable I highlighted in yellow (to the Jack?).
  13. Iโ€™ll go see you in London too ๐Ÿ˜‰
  14. That moment is included right at the end of the video - nice one ๐Ÿ˜Š
  15. Has it got exposed pole pieces? When playing basses with such pickups in my early days, I was hearing strange popping/knocking noises. It took me a while to realise I was digging in so hard that the strings were hitting the pole pieces and sticking to them slightly, causing the noise. I have adjusted my technique since ๐Ÿ˜‚
  16. Was it a misunderstanding? Someone thought it was their umbrella?
  17. Yeah, thatโ€™s really funny.
  18. Some good ideas there. I would add a simple looper pedal to the mix - great for quickly recording yourself when inspiration strikes.
  19. Not my story, but a friend of mine deputised in a KISS tribute band recently (where they do the full makeup thing and all) and after the show a punter asked for his autograph. He was rather baffled and asked what do you mean? You want my autograph? โ€ฆ Or Gene Simmonsโ€™? Iโ€™ll let you guess the response.
  20. @Muzz A Hondo Alien has been changing hands on here for not a lot of money just before Christmas - currently on hold but may be worth asking if still available if interested?
  21. I like the look of them too I bought the Hondo Alien specifically because it has an aluminium neck which I thought would be more likely to survive travelling - I keep it in my camper van. I prefer the look of the Hohners. I donโ€™t know how easy they are to find, I think I was the sole bidder on mine ๐Ÿ˜‚
  22. I have a Hondo Alien, which is a bolt-on (and weird looking ๐Ÿ˜‚).
  23. PM sent - do you know the nut width and string spacing?
  24. These hardly ever come up for sale. Great, very versatile basses. GLWTS.
  25. I was there too! Student in Bristol (on international exchange) and that was the only place that still had tickets for that tour. A local music shop organised a bus+ticket combo and off we went. Great gig! Great memories! I have seen them many times since and I was at Wembley Arena last night too.
