  1. My SFG jazz arrived yesterday. Beautiful thing, very happy. The neck has tinted varnish on it and is quite darker than the other photos I have seen on here (which looked more like natural maple). Are they supposed to be tinted?
  2. I have been to a few gigs using Dice, as a punter. I like the app, the ability to send tickets to friends, the all inclusive price etc. Venues (that tend to be smaller) don’t always use the QR codes, that is true 🤷
  3. In terms of power supply, I agree with @Bassmidget209, you’ll probably want it underneath the board. I saw that T-Rex have a special bracket for that: https://www.t-rex-effects.com/brackets On my board, I couldn’t find a bracket and didn’t want to drill, so I actually used some of the heavy duty removable “picture hanging strips” - it’s Velcro really, but can easily be removed without leaving glue marks or ripping the paint etc: https://www.3m.co.uk/3M/en_GB/p/d/v000273808/
  4. @Damnthatlazlo that’s a really good deal! This is a contentious subject, I am sure, but whenever I have bought pedals that already had Velcro on them, they had the hooks on. So I’d say put the loops side of the Velcro on the board
  5. I don’t think they come in a case.
  6. Liking it a lot. I’d go and see you if you play in London or Nottingham.
  7. Amazon made me do it 😅😅
  8. They were out of stock at Thomann for a few days, but they seem to have some new stock in. I have ordered a Seafoam Green jazz.
  9. Is it not just a case of unfollowing the thread? When you contribute to a thread, you automatically ”follow” it. If you unfollow (at the bottom of the thread) that should stop sending you notifications.
  10. Dean also used to have the Stylist bass, a big bodied hollow beauty that was really quite deep - loud enough to play acoustically and sounds great as a semi.
  11. Nice bass. Out of curiosity, are the original bits included?
  12. I have always seen Kramer fretboards documented as being Ebonol. For instance this, which is credited on https://www.vintageguitar.com/14317/kramer-aluminum-neck-basses/ as being taken from Kramer’s 1979 catalog: Have you got a pointer to documentation for a Bakelite fretboard?
  13. Picture of the heel would be good 😌
  14. That may be true of the people who saw it the first time round. Bumping it means that more/different people will see it the second time round. When on Basschat I tend to read the first few pages of “unread threads”. So the recent stuff.
  15. I bought a Korg Monologue synthesiser from Peter. We communicated over a couple of weeks to arrange a date and place to fit around my travel arrangements and Peter was very patient and accommodating, putting no pressure on me. At Peter’s suggestion we had a video call for him to show me that the synth was fully working but he also gave a lot of tips about this particular model and synths in general. It was a very useful and enjoyable call. A great basschatter and transaction. I hope to meet again soon and share my progress
  16. @Rib13Bass good, entertaining video. They are not all made in Korea. Mine is made in Japan.
  17. Bit (too) late to the thread, but there is also the big PMT store in Old Street, not far from the City.
  18. Fantastic, thank you!
  19. Cool, then put me down for that 😊
  20. I am coming from Grantham. It’s good, I can take the train and then a bus from Nottingham station.
  21. @Frank Blank I will be using public transport, hence can’t bring very much. I have a couple of semi interesting basses that people may be curious about and tempted to have a play on. So besides curiosity, I could bring a Kramer 450B (alu neck) if it can be plugged into someone else’s rig.
  22. Thank you @Frank Blank and @Richard R
  23. I have never been to a bash. Can you only get in if you set up shop and bring some gear? No “visitors only”?
  24. @Alex Buzzard is looking for a Mosrite (among others) - this gives off quite the Mosrite vibe. Could be an option?
