  1. Midi Pad 2 is great for changing presets on the Source Audio Hub and is capable of much more too (note triggering, CC, Program change). Any “pad” can have multiple parameters assigned to it. A very powerful tool. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/midipad-2/id896879399?mt=8 Knob Lab is great too. I’m setting it up to control all the parameters on my Manta directly. Again, you can create a one-knob layout that controls many parameters simultaneously. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/knob-lab-midi-controller-by-sonic-logic/id727466234?mt=8
  2. Interesting. A shame you’re not close so I could try it out.
  3. That is the combo I would love, 2-EQ, honeyburst, rosewood, white, birdseye neck. I wanted to custom order a SLO special like this and was gutted to find they discontinued this awesome colour. I wish I could get on with Stingray necks.
  4. Seriously, it’s well worth it even at full price and there are other ways than keyboard to play it.

  6. It’s exactly the same internally, they just made the case slightly smaller, reducing the lip at the top so that one can now use right-angled cables and have them pointing upwards. Also, the base on the new one is completely flat and has a standard screw for the battery compartment instead of the knob.
  7. Just tried this model again in a shop; sadly the neck is indeed too fat for my liking. They had a 75 reissue next to it so I could compare directly. For me the 75 is more comfortable.
  8. Indeed it is a good pedal. This is the older version with the lip over the jack sockets.
  9. The more I look at this, the more tempted I am. I’m going to check out an example of this in a music shop in the next few days to see if I can convince my hands to like it. I’ll let you know if I succeed.
  10. Wouldn’t this be too much power for the 2x10 8ohm traveller cab? 500W is plenty for my needs.
  11. I’d love this but the 800 watt version is way more than I need.
  12. This is the one I had and sold! @andybassdoyle May want it back though.
  13. Please keep an eye out. Details in the photo below. Mods - should we have a dedicated stolen section in the marketplace?
  14. I wish this had come up a year ago. I ended up getting a nice USA Standard Jazz neck de-fretted which I could have stuck, unmolested, on a Precision body. Good luck with the sale.
  15. Really interested in this if I can sell my bass Microsynth.
  16. Who knows, with that cash I might be tempted to buy one of your power bricks… Anyway, back to the main event…
  17. Do it! Then he’ll have the cash to buy my BMS!
  18. As a point of order, I think that the Manta counts as a multi-fx unit; after all, phasers can exist as a stand-alone filter pedal, as can the other variants in there. Plus it has a drive/dirt section. So, I think you need to either allow multi-fx units (after all, if one were forced to choose only one, why wouldn’t one choose one which covers many bases?) or you need to disallow the Manta. This is a difficult one for me. The thing is, my pedals function individually as part of a system so having only one part makes little sense on its own. I can safely say that the Mastotron is here to stay, but on its own it is less interesting to me. For sheer versatility it’d be the Manta for me (even though there are better-sounding filters out there). Honestly though, few things on my board are truly safe.
  19. I could also sing its praises. I still have one and love it (apart from the size and 24V supply). I’m actually still hoping to find a + version so I can get the loop.
  20. I was curious which filter you were keeping after your big sale.

Yep, the Nik West one is one that jumped out at me when trying out various presets.
