  1. Yes, I had to sell my other three when I needed money for a recent house move. Really want to have at least one other after this fiasco.
  2. Also, the larger TV logo. The standard 75 reissues have the later, smaller font.
  3. V2.2 is an interim release with some bug fixes, a couple of new features and will allow your current patches to be saved from the pedal. The juicy stuff is coming later in the v3 release. I was sent a bunch of new stuff yesterday but won’t get chance to play with it until Saturday. Irritatingly I still haven’t experienced the improved tracking first-hand, despite having had the new firmware for weeks now as my bass is still with the luthier!
  4. You’ll be able to verify it works as when you go back to the list of for-sale items (not by using your browser’s back function but rather by using basschat’s back arrows) you’ll see your post is now the first one in the list again. It also gives you a confirmation that you’ve bumped it. It works fine and keeps the thread free from clutter.
  5. By the way, you don’t need to write bump posts; there’s a bump button at the top of your thread. @CameronJ these keys might suit your fingers better.
  6. This is the best MM colour and such a shame they discontinued it.
  7. Full ADSR envelopes and a 4-slot mod matrix, ability to use all three FX together (plus a raft of other stuff that I can’t mention yet).
  8. Yes, you can use it solely for the distortion section which is pretty tweakable. Yes, you can blend in clean bass, both to parallel and running into the filter section. Yes, you can use it as an envelope filter on the clean bass signal (though I don’t think it’s that great at that). It’s a seriously powerful and flexible machine and will become even more so with the new update.
  9. Do you mean having to program via a PC is a pain? If so, I agree. Or do you mean the FI editor is a pain to use? If so, I can sympathise as it is a bit daunting at first but it’s actually pretty intuitive and straightforward once you figure a few things out and way easier to program on than other stuff (I’m looking at you, Octavius Squeezer). The process of putting patches onto the pedal is the part I find most cumbersome; a drag-and-drop interface would be a huge improvement.
  10. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
  11. This. One of the nicest octaves I’ve played, super fat and synthy and tracked as well as the MXR. Come to think of it, why the hell did I return it to @GisserD?(Just a shame the output level is on an internal trimpot).
  12. I’ve ended up going straight to Labella with my complaint as talking to BD didn’t get anywhere. Labella are sending me replacements.
  13. I’ve had two sets now; the first had a buzzy D and G string, the second had a buzzy G string. I’m waiting to hear back from both Bass Direct and Labella. It’s a really disappointing first experience with these strings.
  14. And strong enough to turn soft-touch stomp buttons on and off?
  15. @GisserD will your controller be able to turn rotary selector-switch knobs that have detented positions?
  16. That sounds cool then. Will it fit pedals with knobs close together or those slim, non-removable knobs (the ones which just look like shafts (like on the Glou-Glou Pralines))?
  17. You could dump all downloaded patches into a single folder, then choose “load file” from the menu and open the first one in that folder. You can then use the arrows next to the patch name in the editor to browse all patches in that folder one by one (no need to keep choosing “load file” after loading the first one). The internal keyboard does work. You might need to unplug or mute the bass as it will switch to audio-triggered mode as soon as it detects a note. If using the onboard keyboard, you’ll need to unplug anything plugged into the FI’s MIDI OUT port, otherwise you’ll get an infinite loop. Make sure you have the device which is plugged into the FI’s MIDI IN port selected in the editor (i.e. your USB-MIDI or audio interface). You should then be able to click on the editor’s keyboard to get sound. N.B. It’s worth bearing in mind that the patches can sound VERY different when triggered by the internal keyboard as they won’t have any dry bass, harmoniser distortion or envelope follower response. If you’re looking for patches to play on your bass, I’d recommend browsing using your bass.
  18. @GisserD Sounds really cool. Does it require any modification to the pedals it controls? Do you have to remove the original knobs? Can the pedals be dialled in the same way as normal (i.e. with hands and then the positions saved) or do all adjustments need to be done via the new controller? When you talk of channels, is each knob controlled by a separate MIDI channel? Or is each of your units (with however many controls) addressed on a single MIDI channel and then each knob controlled by a different CC number on that one channel? I’m very curious. Presets on my Enigma would be wicked.
  19. Added new info about patch transferring as requested by @SICbass
  20. Do you realise you don’t need to make bump posts? There’s a “bump topic” button at the top of the page which will bump the post to the top.
