  1. By 80s bass do you just mean “FM synth bass”? I’m pretty sure that MJ line was likely done on a DX7.
  2. QM Seamoon Funk Machine 2.mp3 Just recorded this clip for a friend. One of my C4 Seamoon Funk Machine patches.
  3. Not sure. It's quite a different sound altogether though.
  4. Here’s a clip of a Future Impact patch I made last night: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jdgVdonpzFvTIQu0CXKtoTLX-c7YKES3/view?usp=drivesdk
  5. This thread should be titled “If you could only choose one filter pedal... then life just wouldn’t be worth living”. Seems like everyone’s racing to collect them all like a set of Panini stickers.
  6. Indeed. One SA user spent a lot of time match his Pigtronix and shared the patches.
  7. @GisserD, not that I’m trying to feed your habit.
  8. Do you have the original pickguard still and is it included?
  9. Here's another clip, with flats this time: FI sustain 3.mp3
  10. They do pop up from time to time. They are cheaper new now than what I bought my used one for though. And so much better than the Deep Impact.
  11. For the FI you can get away with never touching a computer (many users do exactly this) as it has 99 onboard sounds and all are tweakable from the pedal panel.
  12. The solution to that is to just download patches you like and/or just adjust them from the pedal panel (9 parameters each with 9 possible coarse values in the case of the FI). There’s loads of mileage right there. You could easily get by without ever having to do any tweaking other than setting input level and output volume on the top panel.
  13. It is. It’s just not resonant (I guess) and has no means of automating the sweep, which to be honest is what makes filters really cool. 🙂
  14. Thanks. Just popped their albums in my massive to-listen-to list.
  15. Don’t know how this flew under my radar:
  16. Worth posting again. I bought their first six albums in one go after just hearing a few tracks here and then on YouTube.
  17. I just checked their own website and they make some interesting stuff.
  18. Just found another interesting one but looks to be LFO only: https://www.gear4music.com/Recording-and-Computers/Benidub-Filtro-4-Pole-Analog-Filter/386O?origin=product-ads&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIjbuBkayN7gIVyLvVCh3ayQbbEAQYAiABEgILhfD_BwE
  19. Are these still available anywhere? Does it have the CV inputs and envelope out too?
  20. @andybassdoyle, @GisserD, this looks interesting.
  21. Yes, they stock some pretty decent synth stuff. They were listed as official dealers on some synth companies’ websites so assumed they were legit but I’ve never bought from them so far.
  22. And my Skyline is lovely. Honestly, there are some great cheap basses out there and some expensive dogs. The Sterling by Musicman stuff is pretty decent quality.
  23. Yep, and due to Corona I still haven’t managed to get out to Jon Shuker to pick it up. It’s been quite an ordeal (time wise, that is; Lakland were very commendable in footing all costs involved in rectifying the issue). Just hope it’s working now. Correct; the Skylines are built in Indonesia but go back to the US before hitting retailers.
  24. It’s only on the dry bass signal. It is adjustable between two fixed frequencies and the amount of boost is also adjustable via a switch and trimpot inside.
  25. Thanks. I’m guessing it’s probably normal.
