  1. Here's my attempts at the EHX Bassballs. Does anyone know whether the drive is pre- or post-filter? Available on the file share site. @lee650
  2. Cool. There are plenty of patches here too: https://auraplug.com/fidatabase2/
  3. Hopefully less than the £260 that they currently are new. Welcome to the club. Don’t forget to get a usb-midi interface so you can update firmware and load patches.
  4. You can check the version history for when v2 came out. It added the tuner and other stuff. Bear in mind that v3 was a massive upgrade from v2 which consequently took a lot of time, especially as Andras is the only one working on the code (alongside his other work). The other thing is that a lot of the new features I suggested once I was on board required a significant restructuring of the core code. This was necessary to get things like the new multiple LFOs from VCO3 and VCO4. I would think that any planned upgrades are minor in comparison to the above but because I know nothing about coding, I cannot say how long those things might take to implement correctly. More good stuff is coming. In the meantime, let’s enjoy the already awesome pedal we have.
  5. Actually, you can probably get close by hooking up a Freeze pedal. You could then use an expression pedal on CC2 to lower the synth volume on subsequent notes, leaving just dry bass or just play more synth. Not as elegant as a one-pedal solution but it might work in the interim.
  6. I’m sure it’ll happen but some patience is required. Remember how long we had to wait for v3 but it was totally worth it.
  7. Yep, I’ve got one too and it’s basically Bootsy in a (small) box.
  8. It’s when it’s engaged; bypass is just fine. The circuit is ridiculously sensitive to the slightest movement of the string (even muted ones). Basically any tiny movement induces a current via the magnets and the pedal picks that up. The Vintage didn’t fix the problem until they added the resistor to the later run.
  9. For anyone having the problem of the chattery circuit on the MXR Vintage Bass Octave, Dunlop are offering to either replace the unit or add the noise reduction resistor which is now standard on it. There is scant info on the web but Darryl Anders who is head of the bass department at Dunlop had said on talkbass that customers could get in touch and send their units back to Dunlop to be sorted out. I’ve returned mine to my local shop to try and get it done through the UK arm of Dunlop, which should hopefully eliminate any postage or customs fees. I’ll let you know the outcome.
  10. Do update it to v3.03 before sending it out as it’s got some fixes and new features (if you haven’t already).
  11. Fair enough, just wondering if Jez bit the bullet as he me asked some advice about it. C4 also does a pretty decent OC-2; in fact its out-of-the-box octave down sound is amazingly close when its own dedicated filter is rolled off a bit and some EQ is applied. It’s not quite as fat and responsive as the analogue pedals but is very close.
  12. Here it is. Do listen through an amp for best results.
  13. That’s the video that made me buy it in the first place.
  14. I’ve tweaked my double bass patch considerably and it sounds much better. Also, listening on phone/headphones doesn’t do it justice; it really sounds a lot more convincing when played through an amp. I’ll get a clip recorded (but interface only) and upload the patch sometime over the weekend.
  15. For anyone that downloaded the OC2 patch, please re-download it as the diacritics in the original filename prevented it from being written to the pedal. It works now.
  16. DO IT! You won't regret it. I can even send you my backuo file which is already configured for C4 and FI.
  17. These are absolutely brilliant. I sold mine to get the MC8 too but was even thinking of getting another MC6 as it’s more compact and draws way less power.
  18. I’ve emailed someone I know who might be interested.
  19. Aren’t Behringer doing a cheaper version of that? Worth checking out.
  20. Someone needs to jump on this at this price.
