Hi everyone! The plan for this has changed slightly.... It's not just the bass that is going on tour! It's us!! The two of us will be planning a trip (in a camper van) around the UK visting jam nights. gigs, guitar shops, even visiting you personally if you like!! This way you get to try more instruments and chat with us personally whilst having a brew or a beer! The dates and destinations still need to be worked out but we're really looking forward to it!! Hey all I may have mentioned this before but i'd like to welcome any of you to come and try out a couple of our basses that share identical construction, hardware, fret wire, pickups (From the same batch, made at the same time, so as close as possible to identical) , preamp, nut, strings etc and only differ in wood spec. The first bass spec is: Alder body Maple top Indian rosewood neck Madagascan rosewood fingerboard The second bass spec is: Swamp ash body Ebony top One piece ebony neck Ebony fingerboard The difference is very noticable before you even plug them in. For me this shows the affect that different woods have. It would be an interesting experiment having a few of you try them to see what you think

all the instruments on our site have wizard pickups! (apart from the bass with dual humbuckers) does that count? http://alpher.co.uk/ i have two sets of 5 strings "64s" left in stock! pretty rare these days

just a quick update guys! We've become very busy lately so initially there was a delay in starting this build. Rest assured though that we have now started! We are actually going to make two, yes TWO basses and let you guys vote for the one that you'd like to see On Tour. Both have very different wood specs etc so i'm sure the voting will be interesting.
