  1. Going up, open to offers / trades on this
  2. I'm shifting on my boost pedal after doing some tidying on the 'board. The new amp has its own boost so surplus to requirements. Build wise the quality of RMI Lehle Basswitch gear is top notch and up with the very best. It's a very clean and transparent pedal, has a 3 band EQ too for a bit of colour. Takes a 9V supply, and internally doubles it to 18v via some sort of witchcraft. Designed for bass, but recently discovered its incredible for guitar too! Pristine condition and spent all its life on a cased pedalboard l, with its box which is also pristine. £100 takes it either collected from Rochdale, or postage at a slightly extra cost. 3. I'm surprised no one's suggested Volvo 240 estate yet. My dad's was absolutely huge!
  4. Always a tricky one asking on here. Everyone has their own idea of what's good and what's not. Passats are really popular, they're reliable and swallow the gear. Mine was great for that! I run a new Avensis estate now, which is bigger than the Passat... but the boot floor is higher, has a silly false boot floor and a flawed shape - it's crap at carrying gear. Not as bad as my friend's Insignia, but it's not great! Next on the shopping list is Mercedes E Class estate or Skoda Superb estate. They're apparently the biggest in class, and get good reviews. Also popular with taxis - so suits me!
  5. Hows about a new year bump? Open to offers on this, and I've dropped the price too. Trades, I'm after something Jazz like, one proviso - it has to have 5 strings. Cheers all
  6. I love the looks, feel, sound and playability of my Warwick Infinity, but first fret feels miles away and it chews through batteries. I also love the looks and the sound of my Mesa Boogie power house rig. I can live with the weight... but it doesn't go into the car as well as my last rig.

  8. I was running an Aguilar TH500 with neo 112 Hartke cabs, then a Barefaced. I now run a Mesa M-Pulse 600 with a pair of Powerhouse cabs - so I've gone from super light to super heavy, and the Mesa wins for sound, clarity, punch, lows, level etc hands down.
  9. As it says in the title really, I'm selling my Barefaced Big One cab. It's in great condition and has a Roqsolid cover too. 8 ohms, 1000 watts and it doesn't really weight much either. 1x15 with a 6.5" HF driver, and a very clever crossover. So basically, you get lots of lows, lots of lovely mid punch and lots of clarity too. It really does sound great! I've run it with an old Acoustic head, Aguilar TH500, little Mesa Walkabout and recently I've got an Mesa M Pulse 600, and they all sound epic. Reason for sale? I do numerous gigs where I sometimes only need a bit of gear and sometimes I need the full whack, so I'm going back to a two cab solution. If I had infinite space and a van, I wouldn't even consider selling! I'm based in Rochdale and want £400 for it, but I travel all over so you never know where I may be! 10. My main two work horses are the Infinity and the MIJ P, tbh it depends on the gig! Following that are the fretless German Corvette, and the German Warwick Alien (Acoustic) - again, it depends on the gig! Then the German FNA Jazzman sits at the bottom of priorities as it's merely the backup to the Infinity if anything goes wrong.
  11. I'm upgrading my bass amp as I'm not as worried about the Class D weight thing nowadays and I've seen something I really like. As the title says, it's an Aguilar Tone Hammer 500, so you already know how good these things are! It's been of absolutely perfect service to me and never let me down, and I've always babied it - so it comes with a fully fitted and foamed flight case which it has spent it's life in, and it's also got it's Aguilar gig bag too which cost about £50 alone. I'm asking for £500 ONO, but please bear in mind that the amp is pristine, never driven overly hard either and there's £100 worth of case there too. I can post, or cash on collection from Rochdale. Pictures due soon.

  13. Depends where you're based. Matt and Phred's on Mondays I find can be a tad elitist, I've been a few times but I've never felt comfortable there. There are a couple knocking around Rochdale on Thursday nights, the main one probably being The Flying Horse in the town centre. You definitely want to take plugs to that one and I know a lot of people who've been once and never bothered again, and I'm going a lot less than I used to. There are tonnes of jams in the NW, just godda find the good ones! I go to one in Leigh every other Thursday which is quite good!
  14. Yeah those cases are pretty awesome! I've had a few, the award for most substantial cases I've had is the new Warwick Aluminium and ply flight case that my 2013 Streamer came in - it left the flight case issued with my Infinity for dead! I ran a Peli case for a time too which was again, ridiculously strong! Generally speaking now, I don't fly the Infinity now, that's why I've got the FNA. So I've got a pair of Hiscox cases, one battered by airlines, the other one spare in prep to be battered by airlines (or if I have to fly two basses). They're also used when basses are going in the back of vans / trailers and such. For the times where I'm travelling by my own car or if I take public transport, which is the sizeable majority of my work, I have a Harvest leather bag which is the nuts!
  15. Going up bump! Just bought a Barefaced so these have to go!
  16. Pretty much as it says on the tin really, Sonuus B2M bass to midi converter. Bought it for an idea I wanted to play with regarding VA synths, and never got round to it, and it's becoming a bit of a paperweight. In it's original box etc, mint condition and barely used. Call it £35 posted, or £30 cash collected from Rochdale

  18. Bumpity bump. I'll also now consider trades. Has to be a 5 (unless anyone wants to straight swap a pre EB Stingray which I somewhat doubt), and ideally a Jazz Deluxe, American.
  19. Some enquiries, but still here. Bumpity bump, make me an offer!
