  1. Totally understood and this is what I’m looking for - a fundamental quality to my tone rather than throwaway fancies
  2. Funny story. I bought a Atlas from Andertons yesterday., succumbed to the marketing and reviews. I played around with it last night an couldn't hear any difference in sound and frankly didn't understand the effect. I expected it to be a magic trick that would just elevate my tone to that of a pro. I went back to the store this afternoon to trade it in for a Microtubes Infinity or BassRig'64. I spend around an hour messing about with these two pedals and go equally confused and frustrated that it wasn't giving me the sound I wanted or heard on YT videos. So I pluged the Atlas back in to compare whilst I was still in the demo booth and with a bit of focus .... and I started to hear the differences in tone and started to understand the pedal. I ended up keeping the pedal and didn't trade it in. I appreciate that the pedals I tried weren't specifically compressors but its the eternal chase for 'that sound' that frankly makes you sound better. I realise that sometimes you just have to drop your expectations and invest the time and focus to explore the inputs and output. It has had such good reviews and I hope that I can tap into it in a way that suits me and works for me. I'm going to give it more time to really learn and understand the concepts of compression and how I can get the effect to work for me and my tone. Hence why I found this thread! I'll let you know how I get on! 🙂
  3. Beautiful bass and I wish I could do it justice. Dan is a top chap you can trust. GLWTS!
  4. Anyone actually purchased/used this yet??
  5. Gutted I missed this due to a family gathering. Looked so good. @Kingbassist I'm in Leatherhead and have a BF BigTwin Gen3 that you are welcome to try out. I probably down to Andertons this weekend at some point so don't mind chucking in the back of the car.
  6. Good to have you back!
  7. Interesting - used to have one of those. Might give it a try as it’s a great pedal to have in the line up anyway
  8. I'm planning to come along but I'll just bring myself as looks like more than enough gear knocking about and not sure I have anything of much interest to offer! 🙂
  9. Fair. I’ve asked but he’s not stepping up 🙄. We are playing an interpretation rather than a faithful cover so I only wanted to nod to the original which is why I was thinking I could just echo the bass line
  10. NOW SOLD Fabulous pedal in immaculate condition and complete with all original packaging inc. PSU and instructions. Price includes postage within the UK.
  11. Now sold Brilliant little pedal, encoporating the functionaltiy of the EHX Freeze pedal along with addition synth engine sounds and tone blending options. Price includes insured/tracked shipping within UK.
  12. We play a version of this classic Bon Jovi track and I'd like to experiment giving my bass line that wa-wa sound. I know the original was the guitar going through a talkbox (as per the YT clipbelow) but I wanted to play about with it and see if I could split my bass signal, maybe octave it up, and have this sound running in the background??! Any thoughts?
  13. @Stedders bought my OTB500 amp this morning. Straightforward communications and he turned up & puchased as agreed. Lovely chap to chat with and transaction was super-smooth. Thanks!
  14. Looks lovely and sits perfectly on the BF cab 👍
  15. Wow. @bassadder27 was a regular on here - hope they are OK.
  16. Love this. I even went to Charlie Chandler at the weekend to book my SR505 in for a fretless conversion as this pushed me over the edge. GLWTS.
  17. Oooh. This looks interesting.
  18. I agree. I wonder how much of a compromise it would be to include a decent octave and maybe chorus. I think it would get a lot of people over the line to actually purchasing it.
  19. Cracking cabs these … bought one off Walshy recently. @simondee
  20. Yep, I purchased one of these new last month and they sound / feel incredible. Best bass I've played 100%.
  21. That's decent - instruments all sounding together. If the singer could sign an octave up it would help things massively. Love the stage!
