The board is never final! Although havign said that, here's a tip I discovered recently that LS-2 is really good for (looks like you're doing this kind-of anyway). I've got pedals that can suck a bit too much bottom end out the signal (wah, fuzz, env filter) on the A loop of my LS-2. The B loop is just the input routed back to itself. The LS-2 is set to mix A+B, or full bypass. So whenever I'm using those effects, I've always got a bit of dry signal being mixed back in. The from the output of the LS-2 I've got other pedals which don't affect bottom end too much... chorus, desampler, volume. The plan is to get my Super Synth and Wahoo in this part of the path as well. Pre-LS-2 are tuner, compressor and preamp. Here's a pic from a recent rehearsal, so far unboarded:

And very good timing too, as I need to get two amps, some hifi gear and maybe a PA tested before a venue will let me use my gear rather than their own (at their own vastly inflated money-printing machine price). Can anyone recommend a PAT tester in or around SW London? Or shall I just call up a local electrician?

Well, the chocolate lab is really too cool. Is that a iGig that they've cut up for the prototype? It looks like a good idea, although I'm not sure of the benefits of carrying something really heavy on just one shoulder. The good thing about a backpack style gig bag is that the weight is evenly distributed across your shoulders.

Play an open E. Then, without looking, find the octave on the other strings in all positions. Check against your open E. Repeat for your other open strings. Then repeat with the open E, but look for fifths this time. Find all the Bs all over the neck and check against your open string. Repeat for all strings. Repeat again for major thirds, dominant sevenths etc etc... it'll begin to sound like music eventually.

Two or three, assuming everyone's got mp3s or whatever of the version your'e using for reference. Assuming a two-set gig, one 4-hour rehearsal per set and another for polish, tops and tails etc. But of course Roland Rock is absolutely correct in his first comment above

Where's your fretting hand thumb? If it's hooked over the top of the neck, getting big stretches in will be really hard. If it's lightly supporting the back of the neck, your four fingers will fan out more naturally. I learned Erotomania on 4-string years ago (mid 90s) when a transcription appeared in one of the American guitar mags. There's a couple of low notes but nothing that doesn't sound odd an octave up.
