1. I have one of the new trace combos and it's fantastic. Very clear with a lot of punch but also has a nice warmth about it. You can do pretty much anything you like with the EQ. My only gripe is that I find the compressor quite useless but I've never been one for compressors anyway. It also looks the business, the construcion is flawless and the backlight is worth the money for sheer coolness. Also getting a footswitch and cover as standard is a nice bonus.
2. I have to say, it doesn't look terribly exciting. I've definatly seen a luthier somewhere that was making guitars out of million (can't remember if they were that old though actually) year old fossilised logs, can't remember who that was though. They actually looked nice too!
3. Not interested personally, but this is a good heads up nonetheless.
4. Suprise suprise, another thread moaning about people on youtube
5. Wikipedia has the answer
6. Just noticed that it's in a shop on Denmark street and will therefore no doubt be an overpriced peice of junk. And for that reason, I'm out.
7.
Seems like the Ashdown Fx pedal scenario all over again. Wait...wait.....wait....wait....go somewhere else and get something better.
Just like the Gallien-Krueger Fusion heads, I had the money put aside for one of those about two and half years ago (I think, it's been so long that I can't remember!) and they've only just come out now
8. Odd this, have had no interest for weeks and weeks and within the space of a day I get three interested parties!
9. Holy crap, so these amps are actually out now?! Seriously, how long have they been delayed? It must be two or three years ago now since I put aside money to get one of these. I've moved on since then obviously
10. It's nice of ernie ball to give your bass the correct sheilding in the first place I love the DIY solution of using slug repellent copper tape
11. The EBS is fantastic and can be used as more than just a pre-amp. People seem to be liking the new Aguilar one too.
12.
The first thing that came into my mind seeing that photo was that it would make a wonderful Demotivator poster.
lulz

14.

Funny thing is, I'll be a few seconds later they'd just ripped the throat out of that antelope or whatever it is
15.
Whats with the weird cutout in the headstock behind the nut? - is it similar to where 70s P basses that always seemed to have a lit fag stuffed under the E string - 'for later', but MK prefers a sausage roll instead?
I tip my hat to you sir MK really is the gear whore's gear whore isn't he?
16. Changing valves is like changing lightbulbs Oil on your skin can make weakspots on the valves? Is there anyone who seriously beleives that?
17.
I'd like to add that while 10 were made one was mine and the postie nicked it so there are only 9 in circulation or there better had only be 9 in circulation
Man, that really does suck balls! Makes you wonder though, what happens to all the stuff that gets lost in the post? Is there just a big pile of lost mail in a warehouse somewhere?

Spamming attacks
The forum has been upgraded, I'm going to keep the Admin validation on new members for the rest of the day to see if the upgrade actually does the job its supposed to. The main change in the upgrade is a more sophisticated Captcha feature.
Sounds like the best thing to do.

I see the latest forum update has stopped the spamming attacks Can you not add a verification code when you sign up for an account?
20. Whilst we're here, we might as well tackle the question of how long a peice of string is.
21. The simplicity is the winner for me and the preamp used is a tried and tested design thats been around for a long time. You could slap V-Type or Alembic on the front of it and it would sell for several times more When i've had amps with big fancy EQ systems I just end up fiddling forever and end up making my sound worse. Each to their own though. There really is no need for some of the pettiness here.
22. I'm suprised about the comments about weight actually, my corvette LTDis lighter than other basses i've owned and my Stingray five is noticably heavier than it.
WOAH WOAH WOAH sweet child of mine. you cant chop your copperhead!!
What difference does it make? The original neck isn't going anywhere, necks are interchangable you know.
24.
People who take the E string off their basses to fit a C higher up should be given guitars. Especially when they start tapping. A slap and a guitar, that's what he needs.
We might as well all play f*cking pianos then
25. The only and only answer has to be Money surely?
