1. Wow...if anyone wants to buy my own LTD Corvette, I'll have this!
 2.
Hmm Rockbass have always interested me, the Fortress 5 and the active Corvettes the most....but the new $$, I NEED this bass. Hopefully it won't be as pricey as the Fortress' £400-£450 price range. Then there's the new Sterling by Musicman range and the current Squier VM/CV, what a time to be starting bass or wanting to buy a midrange bass (like I am at the moment).
Didn't know about the Sterling by Musicman range until now. Don't know how I missed that. They look really good, almost too good if you ask me! There's always a risk of ranges like these cannibalising the sales of your higher spec'd ones.
 3.
Sorry, but what can Fender, or anyone else, do to a Fender Jazz bass to make it worth nearly £2000?
Attack it with sandpaper? Put a famous persons name on it?
 4.
Ummm... ...easy to ship... ...its a flight case... ...just put a label on it and courier takes it away....
Do you want it then? It's the massive weight I'm talking about. If someone wants to pay through the nose for me to post it, then thats fine!
 5.
Might have the Metal Zone off you? What's the sound like? (I'm guessing it's a distortion) Is it a more fuzzy or overdrive-y one? I suppose what I'm asking, it as I have a big muff, would it be a good compliment?
Much more of a heavy overdrive. It has a full EQ with variable mids so you can get a wide range of sounds from it, I find I can get a good early Muse sound from it.
 6.
So...how did the thinking go?? c
Rather well, PM incoming.
 7. No-one? The Metal Zone does the Muse bass sound pretty well!
 8. Or perhaps you'd just like to buy this?
 9. My experience couldn't have been any different with transglobal. Am a bit confused as to what's happened with you. What paperwork was missing? I was provided will all the paperwork to print out as soon as I placed my order. If you can't print out the paperwork the DHL driver will have manual waybills that you can fill out yourself plus you can fill out the packing list yourself on a blank peice of paper. Presumably you needed some other paperwork too, becuase everything I needed was filled out manually when the driver came to collect the package.
 10. I've never considered getting a P-bass but that sounds f*cking wicked! Giving serious consideration to selling my warwick now...
 11.
I hope Chris doesn't mind me chipping in but I can give some insight into the tone in comparison to a Dolphin. I've A/B compared the Corvette with a 91 NT Dolphin and though I'm loathed to describe tone etc. (it is so subjective) I can categorically say that this sounds nothing like a Dolphin, so you'd have no 'overlap' as you call it. Why am I convincing someone else to buy this?
I have no idea what a Dolphin sounds like, so cheers for that!
 12.
Just when I think I've gone and decided what I'm getting next. Shame you didn't get on with this Chris. This bass passed through my hands (briefly) and I have to say it is VERY nice. You might want to give GremlinAndy a quick PM as I seem to recall he had a soft spot for this when he was collecting a bass from me earlier this year and he gave this one a blast.
I love it, but you know how GAS works! stonecold - Give me a day or two to think
 13. Time to get rid methinks. They've only themselves to blame!
 14. Here's my lovely 2002LTD Warwick Corvette: Special one this, this is the bass Warwick made to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Number 158 out of 200. Specs: - Ovkangol neck, rosewood fretboard with real abalone inlays - French walnut body with swirly bubinga top (which according to Warwick, they'd been saving for 10 years!) - MEC MM/J pickups with MEC preamp. The preamp is very versatile, it has active bass/mid/treble plus a pickup blend and coil tap for the MM pickup. Also has a passive switch. - Signed by Hans-Peter Wilfer on the back of the headstock Comes with original hardcase, Warwick user kit containing truss rod, beexwax, original tags and certificate of authenticity also signed by Hans-Peter Wilfer. £875 shipped. More pics to come Cheers, Chris.
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=tKCwH3amLaU Hehe, there's a whole bunch of these, mainly for guitarists.
The funny thing is, to my ears this is just how his real solos sound!
 18.
Please say it's not a Corvette or any of the unsightly Warwicks? If it's a Thumb or Streamer then colour me interested .
It's a 20th anniverary corvette, sorry!
 19. Jesus, looks like I sold my 'ray 5 at the right time! (got £850 for it too )
 20.
Bump. Any nice high end 5 string Jazzers anyone wants to trade?
Wish I had one I do have a nice high end limited edition Warwick though
