  2. A lil' half hour set for the launch of Salisbury Live '24 this Sunday
  3. Played my 1st gig of the year with Felis Leo, 1st gig in Salisbury since joining them 2 years ago. The gig was in a pub called the George & Dragon which is quite a long thin pub. The back of the pub was closed off for the night and we played just in front of that area, unfortunately space was limited and I ended up stuck in a corner behind a wall, my two barefaced one10s on a bench facing in different directions! I could only see the entrance to the loos from my vantage point 😂 Before we started there was quite a few punters in and that was pleasing, after the first set I came out of my hiding place and the bar was heaving! If we're playing a standard pub gig we play half originals, half covers but not the obvious covers... Powerage era AC/DC, UFO, Whitesnake, JJ Cale, Rory McLeod, it seems to work and weave into our own material. The crowd seemed to enjoy it, the bar staff were very complimentary and the 'fans' said it was the best we'd played (this was only my 3rd gig with FL, it was Chris the drummer's 1st!). Despite the postage stamp stage area the sound on stage was great, so much better than at rehearsals but then I don't use the 2 x one10s in rehearsal. Loading out was a ball ache, I won't bore you with that...rain, roads, busy pub full of drunks, etc. Overall the night was a cracker, looking forward to next Sunday with a Smiths tribute and an all female Slade tribute! Here's my strange setup for the evening

  5. New pedalboard - Temple Audio Solo 18 Gunmetal + Accessories I purchased it a while ago but never used it. I didn't even unbox it. The complete set contains (normally each of those needs to be purchased separately): Temple Audio Design Pedalboard - Solo 18 Gunmetal (https://www.templeaudio.com/solo-series) Temple Audio Design IEC MOD AC Main - with the power switch (https://www.templeaudio.com/iec-mod) Temple Audio Design Pedal Plate Medium x7 (https://www.templeaudio.com/pedal-plates) Temple Audio Design Pedal Plate Small x7 (https://www.templeaudio.com/pedal-plates) Temple Audio Design SOLO Mounting Bracket - mount anywhere on the secondary rail system of the underside of your SOLO Templeboard to increase tension and stiffen the top surface of your board. The mounting bracket can also be used to mount smaller items using a Small or Medium Pedal Plate. It could be used for mounting the PSU under the pedalboard Price for the complete set (I want to sell it as a set) - £170 Posted
  6. I own a Battalion but, based on what you have said, might consider looking at something like the Laney Digbeth instead.
  7. Nice sounding preamp...☆☆☆☆
  8. Ben and I traded basses today, a cracking Warwick Thumb 5 my way and a Bongo 5 + cash to him, excellent fellow to deal with.
  9. I would love this, I have wanted one since I first saw one in a book. Sadly it's way out of my budget, but I hope you find a buyer soon. GLWTS.
  10. Hehe, it's 5.3kg on my bathroom scale. Feels heavy in the hand, but not that heavy on a strap. I wouldnt recommend getting hit in the head with it tho..😂
  11. Funny you should say that, we've just written a song about a local witch 😆
  12. Seriously though, that’s a really nice thing there. Something massively satisfying about a Boss pedal
  13. “Final form”!! 😂 No such thing on here! Mods! Mods!
  14. Based on my own experience an Ashdown ABM and Barefaced Two10S (both secondhand) would fit your requirements and budget. I bought mine from two upstanding chaps on this site for £975 total and it's an amazing setup. The ABM isn't as light as a solid state amp thanks to the valve preamp and sturdy frame, but it's hardly backbreaking, and the Two10S is incredibly light, easily liftable with one hand. Ashdown have great customer service, and Alex the main guy at Barefaced is always open to discuss gear requirements.
  15. To be fair, I think that anyone who has something for sale on Facebook (or here, or wherever) adds a fair bit to the price if they try to sell on Reverb.
  16. For anyone on the fence of picking up a JMJ - I literally have to go out of my way to play other basses or I'd just take one of these to every single gig, so do yourself a favour and pick one up. GLTWS and sorry to hear about the health troubles mate.
  17. BassDirect and others (eg BassBros and Andy Baxter) always price higher on Reverb because of the 8% selling fee, which they obviously don't incur on direct sales from their own online sites
  18. After watching the video I ordered one. Got their last one. Shipped confirmed. Landing Wednesday.
  19. The Baby Quasar, is the Analog phase part of the mighty Quasar (without the extra digital bells and whistles) It's a very versatile 4 stage Phaser, with control over the centre frequency which should be standard on all phasers, as well as resonance and depth/rate. It can do the warm phase 90 thing, but also can have a very bright aggressive sound, which works perfectly with fuzz, it has a very wide range . It can also run up to 12v for extra headroom, very cool phaser indeed, I've tried loads of others and this is my favourite, just need to unlock a bit of cash. It has a bit of the wording worn off, but other than that in good condition, very small pedal in a pretty palma violet colour. Comes with the original Box

  21. Whoever was covering for my postie the other week wasn't doing his job very well. A package that cost me £20 and was holding up one of my projects while I was waiting for it never reached me despite the tracking said it had been delivered and signed for. The sender ignored my emails and royal mail said that their system said it had been delivered and they wouldn't open a case as I wasn't the sender. Paying extra for 'signed for' delivery is pointless now that the postie can sign for it himself as delivered and deliver the package to a random address, dump it in the bin, or nick it.
  22. Glockenklang Blue Rock amp. 1000w @ 4 ohms. The absolute pinnacle of class D amps IMO, and the amp that stopped all GAS for me. I'm no longer gigging so I'm selling off my amp and cab. Rich, clear, loud and light. Shape the tone manually with the myriad of controls, or with the excellent presets. It does clean very, very well, and in true Glockenklang style, the bass control is usable all the way up without going wooly like most other amps. You can also dial in the drive circuit, which is very valve sounding. From a bit of dirt just when you dig in, to full on creamy distortion. Pickup preferred or I can post for an additional £12. Comes in a Mackie padded bag* with Rock Wire cable and 2.5m power lead. *There are two spots of blue tac residue inside the bag where the amp feet sit. I can't get rid I'm afraid.
  23. Hi The Levy’s goes from 955mm to 1300mm. You could get it even shorter by looping the tail through more holes. Hope that helps Thanks David
