  1. Past hour
  2. Same here, which is why I bought the lightest gear available at the time and a heavy duty trolley (Wolfcraft) for the days when I just don't want to carry anything.
  3. I see that we also have a ToneX Plug model now, plugs directly in to the bass and allows Bluetooth audio in for practice. Controlled by a phone app too:
  4. and replied
  5. I've been using ACS for approx 18 years, PRO17's, PRO20's and a set of PRO26's, for one particular guitarist!! I wouldn’t gig without them.
  6. That stuff is arena worthy. Great chops. Daryl
  7. Thanks to @NancyJohnson and @prowla for all their efforts and organisational skills. Basschat is good, but it's better to meet up with bass players. I got a few ideas for the future. Thanks guys.
  8. Sadly this got rejected at the review stage. https://beta.ideas.lego.com/product-ideas/6c5ba1de-c5d4-4221-9f3d-0a4be46b8db2?tab=official-updates
  9. Beautiful. Not so long ago I’d have been all over this, being my ideal fingerboard wood, body finish and logo combination. However, I’ve decided Precisions are more my thing now. Hope it goes to a good home.
  10. Crossroads I'm not sure if you can open this. If you can at one point I go into a fill that I didn't didn't land so great. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/199PqQfWCa/ Daryl
  11. I’ve not thought to use the vertical plane! Love it! What an inspiration! Great pedals too!
  12. Hi Chris, Seems I don’t automatically get a notification when someone replies! I’ve PM’d you the number. Terry
  13. Thanks all. I’ve made some progress. Getting the proper Apple cable was the key. I was then able to add the relevantly USB mapped channels from the XR18 i connected my iPhone to 2 channels and managed to record an iTunes track after a few false starts and help from a YouTube video so good progress especially for an old geezer like me
  14. Thanks Lozz, It was really sort of an open jam. I think it was pretty new to us at that time. If you notice at the end of the song when our guitarist went back to the intro riff I thought we were going to get lost. That's why I walked over and started that " rave up " to close the song. Daryl
  15. It's been interesting reading everyone's experiences. All a little different, but also very similar. Certainly helps me feel more comfortable taking time off, and hopeful about the outcome.
  16. Luckily there’s lots of music for us to enjoy whether we prefer genre A, B, C ect. Those that you listed are big inspirations of mine because I particularly enjoy the bass playing to those old R&B/ disco tunes. But once you learn more of Jaco’s repertoire, you understand he could do that as well as anybody and still write and arrange on a bass in a way that was unique.
  17. I think we draw some things from Creams live version. It's never the same twice. Daryl
  18. Does seem to be a bit of a theme in this thread, we get a bit older, stop trying to make it and play for the enjoyment of playing, lo & behold we have more fun and get more from it.
  19. I understand the Z3's are made of Mahogany. I've had some light Mahogany basses in the past so fingers crossed!
  20. It certainly did fall into place in that clip Daryl, sounded really good.
  21. Mine came with D'Addarios, but I changed them to LaBellas a few months after getting it. I have nylons on my JMJ and love the sound. Though being plastic if there's a ground loop, touching the strings doesn't eliminate the hum.
  22. Option 1, sack the renaining OG driver and get another Deltalite. Port the cab to suit. Option 2, put the OG driver up top in it's own enclosure. @Bill Fitzmaurice might design you a passive crossover to take weight off it and porting to suit Option 2 would be putting basically a 8 ohm load to the amp.
  23. Thanks Dave, I just wish we we were a little more consistent at that level. The clip is from one of those shows where everything just fell into place from the word " go ". Daryl
  24. Thanks Stub, It's one of our big numbers. Lol IWhen we can't collectively find the groove it doesn't work. Daryl
  25. This perfect version of Strasbourg-St Denis from Roy Hargrove by Toshiki Soejima. Coolness and optimist vibe all around. I dig his sound, playing and smile.
  26. 2008 China built 50s P bass, lovely Lake Placid Blue, Tri Tone pick up, excellent condition, comes complete with a Thomann gig bag. plays great, sounds great.
