Luke It's finally working but just as I got it working one of the brand new switches failed so it's now a seven switch. More switches are on order. What I did get working was the ability to switch banks on my Mod Drawf and also have the bank displayed on the PM8. The key part is it being synced for names on the rather nice colour display. Setting up midi keys for turning effects on and off is easy but it was doing the banks that's proven difficult. I had it working for a while but it seems to have gone wrong and I can't work out why. The mod dwarf explicitly stops bank changing midi commands when you are using the UI to debug it. So it's difficult to debug, though it appears to me that the Mod Dwarf is changing the order of pedal boards in its banks which is not supposed to happen. I've made my own case for it. which I say humbly, is far better than the case the guy sells. The next case iteration will have a battery compartment lid. If you come to the bass bash you can have a play.

Exercise is fantastic to battle depression. I have been very active, having done Kung-Fu most of my adult life until i was 40 when surfing replaced it, then slowly the pain started to creep in until it was a permanent fixture. I haven’t had a pain free day for 15 years. I still exercise a bit but it’s zero impact stuff. Although I am nearly 60 I am still 70kg and still have a six pack, my pain would be much worse if I had a belly and poor muscle tone, at least that’s what my consultant said last time I had to put one of those delightful gowns on at the hospital. having said that i have just gone for a laydown whilst I wait for my pain killers to kick in, much to my wife’s amusement, she’s busy crafting for our 5 year old’s hat competition. also the comment about company, all depends on how i feel. Generally i hate the idea of company, means less bass, but then when i have company i generally appreciate it. Complex feelings. I am antisocial i guess.

What a sequence of events, but to cut it all short played Three Compasses in Clydach with just one, dep, guitarist. He'd done a lot of prep so only two big cockups... used a capo on the wrong song (I eventually figured out my bass hadn't gone flat and played up a semitone), and left out the key changes in one song where we play a different version. Great pub venue with playable(apparently!) Instruments on the walls, nice stage area, lights and excellent house pa so ours stayed in the van. My rig boomed a lot (near a corner plus hollow wooden stage) until I cut bass and boosted top and middle. Appreciative audience with some dancing, all a bit chaotic but great fun.

Barber Linden EQ Pedal. Baxandall style EQ pedal, similar in style to a B15/Fender amp EQ but with some interesting options on the toggle switches. Remarkably similar to the Noble DI in the way that these interact and a lovely parter to the JF Luce DI as I've found out this week. Price includes UK Postage.

La Bella 760PN-MUS Stang – Pure Nickel Round Wound A set of never gigged pure nickel Mustang rounds. These are designed for string-through mustangs. Tried on my '69 for a few days, but honestly just don't see that bass being anything other than a flats bass so off they came! Price includes UK postage.

I've taken this in a trade... as much as I've been impressed by these my forays into digital haven't been successful and I've no intention in starting afresh with another unit! Please forgive the text from it's previous advert... everything is applicable and i couldn't have worded it better! Immaculate 12-month-old MKII Turbo (the one with the faster processor and larger screens). Purchased direct from G66 with 2 years of transferable warranty remaining. It’s been babied and well looked after. The Package: £999 • Fractal FM3 MKII Turbo: Mint condition, all original boxes/paperwork. • Pedalnetics QuadAux: Adds 4 extra switches (effectively an 7-button unit). • G66 Padded Gig Bag: Brand new/unused. • Extras: Includes a high-quality USB-C cable (direct connection, no hub needed). Optional Board Setup: The unit is currently mounted on a Temple Audio Duo 17 with a Fender Engine Room LVL5 (isolated power) and IEC module (one-plug power setup). The board is well-used and modified for cabling but rock solid. I’d prefer to sell the whole lot together and I am happy to discuss a deal if you want the full board and power supply. Details: • I’ll help with the G66 warranty transfer. • Includes a lot of professional bass presets as well as the default guitar presets. Tracked and Insured postage doable, collection from Swanley, or to be honest, a lot of places due to gigs, very welcome!

RonC started following Logo position on headless bass
-
Hi all, I’m building a headless bass at the moment (fretless 5 string) and can’t decide the best spot for the logo. I’m gonna place it as an inlay on the fretboard but I doubt between the position at the 12th fret or after the 24th. Because it’s a 5 string, one string will run through the middle. I’m gonna use black strings. What looks best? (Build diary will follow when it’s finished!)

The mere fact that he’s even asking this question shows he isn’t a secret guitarist the use of grammar and punctuation are also strong indications 👍 -
Oooh, I’d not spotted that.
-
Very nice. You may not have the new body construction, but you do have the new bridge, the first one I’ve seen in the wild.

A bassist who plays a simple part perfectly in time is far better than one who plays a complex part with sloppy timing. Understanding when to stay simple and when to go for it is also an important skill and a skill no guitarist has. -
I'm winding everything back now and having a clearout of all the stuff I'm unlikely to ever use again. I'm open to sensible offers for any of these - the £900 shown in the listing is for the whole lot, collected. Prices include postage to UK addresses apart from the Take 5 - please PM to discuss collection or delivery options for that. Given that this is a clearout, I'm not really looking for swaps but feel free to let me know if you have anything - to be honest, it's unlikely but you never know! Sequential Take 5 analogue synth - immaculate condition, boxed, upgraded to the latest firmware and patches £750 Zoom R12 portable multitrack recorder - bought to record the band at rehearsal and only used once before the band imploded. Boxed, immaculate £150 Roland VT4 voice transformer - bought when I entertained fantasies of singing backing vox. Again, used just the once and then retired along with the rest of my dreams. £125 UNO drum machine - a great little drum machine, fantastic for giving us a basic beat whenever the drummer failed to make rehearsals. Light usage, boxed and immaculate condition £100 Waldorf Streichfett string synth - surprisingly versatile little synth that does a great job of recreating the sound of 70s string synths. Immaculate, boxed £150 Thanks for looking - if you have any questions or would like photographs, please PM
