  1. Past hour
  2. Shubb C3 capo. Currently in use working on "Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick" (I found it makes the fingering far easier) and soon to be enjoying various Smiths songs (don't want to tune my strings higher like Andy Rourke did).
  3. I know! For bonus fun there's that little capacitor beside them, just asking to be damaged
  4. Already done and dusted!
  5. It's 10lbs, there or there abouts. Balances really well and feels proper solid.
  6. Feel So Numb - Rob Zombie
  7. Hi, Happy Christmas and New Year. Are these 4 string Newtone sets and what are the gauges please?
  8. No feelings. Pistols
  9. Today
  10. I chase a tone which is clean, bright, active, "hi-fi", plenty of upper mids. One man's meat is another man's poison and all that. How boring would it be if we all had the same tonal preferences!
  11. Cold As Ice - Foreigner
  12. How much for postage dude?
  13. Thank you for the replies. It seems where there is space, I will wander. I have a few hundred cables. I used them for running small stage band PA. I have all sorts. The cheap cables that go stiff in the cold are the worst. Ones with expensive rubberised anti-kink outer sheaths are the best. I don't have any of them, too expensive. We have hit on wireless. I'm going to explore this.
  14. Used but in excellent condition, these have the shorter length stem. Two bass-side and three treble-side, but they can be reversed if needed. Perfect for Dingwall Combustion basses. 16. @elliott_Þórunn it’s not an easy task to tag you!
  17. Is the jazz pickup single or hum canceling ?
  18. I try to get a balanced tone where the instrument cuts though or I get close to what was recorded. But I always favour passive basses mad strong mids.
  19. I’m joking about @paul_5 gazumping @Rosie C….. I did add an emoticon
  20. I have two sounds Pick playing and no band and I like the tone and immediate attack of the notes, sadly when with the band I feel the thump and full depth is lacking and in some rock songs is so noticeable. Finger style I have my full sound which fills the band / room with bass you can feel and my challenge is maintaining clarity in the notes so I’m a high mids boosted kind of sound 1.5khz approx and 500hz approx slightly boosted too Pick playing of course I’m reducing the mids and high mids and trying to recover the full depth tone which is never really present. Either way I’m a typical PBass rock tone but cleaner sounding in the main as I just dislike overdriven bass tones
  21. None of those things would concern me so I will be happy using as my main gigging amp. The EQ, compressor ( dual ) and pre shape feature are the details I like about it. The massive head room too is a bonus

  24. One of Janek’s favourite pedals and it’s 100% chaos. I have one!
  25. Harley-Davidson - heavy, underpowered, unreliable, incredibly uncomfortable, vastly overpriced. If that's your idea of "wonderful" then yes, they are.
