  2. Good Morning judge — Wynonie Harris
  3. I have all the gear I want/need. . . . but if money was no object I'd ask Santa for a couple of Roadies.
  4. So in the spirit of the thread, if you had to save one of your 2025 purchases from the proverbial fire ie your "best", which would it be and why?
  5. Are those the £160k thingies? I've seen them on the YouTubes. May be a while before one crops up on Facebook Marketplace for cheap...
  6. I hear people complaining of getting old. After the last few years I realise what a privilige it is to be able to get older having lost people long, long before their time.
  7. Justice 2020 -Dumpstaphunk
  8. I'm inclined to agree with you there mate. I know they've played big venues (MSG for example) which have similar capacity, but for me, they work best in venues like the Academy. I know I've shared this before, but it always makes me laugh. I was there with the singer from the Bowie band (were you there as well @ASW?) and he couldn't believe people were singing along to what is essentially a bass solo. It was a cracking gig.
  9. 2 Chameleon paint Status for sale at the same time?! Madness. Maybe one day for me - but lucky buyers whoever gets these!
  10. Bought a Sansamp Programmable DI from Rob. Great to deal with, he came back quickly to my enquiries. We agreed that I would meet him on Saturday morning as we were not that far apart, met up, did the deal & I’m really happy with pedal. Rob is a pleasure to deal with and I would have no problem recommending anything else he sells.
  11. ...the more desirable PJ configuration too...
  12. Mine was my main gigging bass in a previous band. From the time proper rosewood was used for the fingerboard.
  13. First, a selfish present: A Fazioli F308 grand piano and I have the room for it. Second, a non selfish present: Almost the same as @Dad3353, peace and harmony for every living species on an unpolluted planet.
  14. It's a beast of an amp, I love mine. GLWTS!
  15. High quality pick ups that I swapped out of my p bass. (I wanted a heavier sound so went for QPs). These are excellent but not suited to my heavy playing style.
  16. Peace and harmony for everyone on the planet. Peace of mind; I've not been too much of a burden to the planet. Piece of Christmas pudding this year with the family, lit up by blue brandy flames. Piece of my birthday cake when I reach 100 (coming up faster than one thinks as a teenager...). Piss as I did when I was a teenager.

  18. Here's my list A decent PSU (likely, if I see one cheap - my Darkglass ADAM is noisy and fenickety) Cheap but good gig bag (again, keeping an eye out on Facebook marketplace - it's a pretty safe buy so if I see one at a good price I'll take a punt) A 2x10" cab. I had a lovely GK 2x10" and loved the sound (I don't really need one as I've got a MarkBass NY121 that's fine, but I'm suceptible and if one I like the look of turns up near me at a good price I could be tempted) Rickenabacker 5 String. They only made these for a while and I've just lusted after one ever since. In walnut. They don't come up often so it's not a temptation I have to resist very hard. Full-on HUGE valve rig e.g. Ampeg SVT and 8x10" or Boogie 400+ with the 1x15" and Powerhouse 1000. Utterly unrealistic as I have absolutely nowhere to put them or situation I could play them but blimey do I have a lust for one...
  19. See pic, 4.3kg on my scales. I’ll be in Bicester next Sunday evening Monday if that’s of any help?
  20. Do you mean the USA made ones? I know those and the original Rob DeLeo signature model which active emg’s were as they had ash bodies I believe. this one is very manageable, I’ll have to get the scales on it but I wouldn’t say it is heavy at all.
  21. I have been wondering whether my Titan 12s or Typhon 8s would work best as FOH or stage monitors. It should be noted that the Titans are well over a decade old and uses a simple analogue crossover but has always sounded great on vocals. BFM is correct that most low-mid range cabinet crossover at a frequency that is too high for the woofer and crossover frequency is in the worse place possible for reproducing the human voice, in particular the female voice. Those Altos have a good reputation and the thing that put me off them was the exaggerated specifications. The make Behringer look conservative. However we have never had such a good choice at reasonable prices. Wharfedale have also released updated versions of the Tourus range, called Tourus+, they also incorporate FIR filters. Titan
  22. I bought it to get myself back in to playing bass having not picked one up for years, and it definitely did that. It's so much fun to play. I'm only selling it because I have very specific requirements for the bands I'm now in.
