Non-black extension leads. When I did theatre work, nothing on stage should be visible if it's not a prop or a performer. -

That's definitely not irrational. Add to that the 6 note guitar solo played after every song. The guitarist playing the first 4 chords of the song before the next song. -

In the past few days I’ve seen ads with “if you’re looking at this you’ll know what it is” piece of hi-FI, a “stunning” amp, “Gb” memory, “very rare”, and one or two other instant swipe-left phrases. -
From what I can see, most " start up " bands never see their 1st gig. It's very difficult to find people that can fully commit. Daryl

What are you listening to right now?

Faith Healer by SAHB. I remember going to the rock disco’s at the Top Rank Suite in Cardiff during 1975, they used to play this track through the massive PA, the throbbing into to the song was awesome, you could feel it hitting your chest. I would be surprised if Stub Mandrel didn’t attend any of the rock disco’s or live gigs there. -

It definitely devalues the sticker if you take the bass off it. -

Years ago I briefly joined a band because I was desperate to be in a band. I made it to two rehearsals before I realized my mistake. Too far of a commute and wrong type of music for me ( metal ). I had to figure out an acceptable reason quitting. I called them and created a mythical family death. It worked. Daryl

Up for sale is my Mexican made Fender Vintera 70s Jazz Bass in 3 colour sunbust that I bought as B stock from Mann's Music in March. The bass (serial number: MX22287391) is in great condition with the exception of a small area of lacquer loss near the strap button (pictured). Looks and sounds great, the pickups have that great bright, slightly compressed 70s Jazz bass sound. The bass comes with a gig bag that Fender describe as 'deluxe', it's really not. Cash on collection would be much preferred as the gig bag included with this bass is distinctly lacking in padding protection and I wouldn't be able to insure this with a courier as there is no hard case. A half way meet up is a very real possibility if you’re in the South East. I’m not interested in trades unless you have a Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass (the original black version without a pickguard). Any questions, please let me know. Here's a link to my previous feedback as a Basschat seller for assurance of a clean and honest transaction:

In my only band that had originals we just agreed not to gig any of the songs solely written by the departed member. Thus said we did record and release things pretty quickly so no one could really try to release something in their own name without referencing the band as the recording was already on spotify etc. If any of the departed song writers wanted to re-record and release again I don't think I would have a problem - I think legally the song IP belongs to the writer, but the recording IP belongs to all those on the recording, so a songwriter can re-record and re-release, but musicians can't... I think...

Seemingly Irish s/h prices are mental, 300 euros for a second hand sr300😭 Last year I managed to pick up a Harley benton deluxe gotoh with foam case and flats for 130 which is amazing in both price and fit and finish, it's my most gigged bass as my atk sits on the stand. I'm buying my son his own and he's firm on wanting a j style bass

I thought I'd get a better photo of the rig at last night's gig as it was a bit less cramped. Lekato wireless dongles are visible on top of the amp and the cab. -
