Late to the party but I think I’ve just made it, I wish Lee well for the future! -
Back in the land of the 02R, this Waves Y56K / ADAT card arrived safely from Japan this morning.. Thankfully I encountered no issues during installation and chose to make various Renaissance EQ and Compressor strings as stereo sub-group inserts. Gig and recording ready.. 👍 I've had good service out of these cards as there's one in both DM2000s, too. As I've probably mentioned previously, the sounds of the plugins are a little different - arguably, they have a little more character than the stock Yamaha ones. Both the 02R96 and especially the DM2Ks have more than enough processing to do pretty much every job that comes my way but the extra bells and whistles afforded by the Waves card is very welcome. 🥰

Honestly I couldn't point to one Maroon 5 song, I just noticed in the list of most albums sold, they were above rod stewart (and fleetwood mac - colour me surprised).

They never used to bother me but I always avoided the Pyramid stage which is located in front of a hill so they probably are more of a distraction there.

All unused, top quality sets. Double ball ends but possibly can be used for shorter basses. 37” length. (I could use the outer strings on my standard scale bass but would rather sell as sets). * Newtone 5 string sets x 6: Diamond Bass, hex core, stainless steel, 46-130, length 37” (ball end to ball end) with tapered B. £25 each (discount for multi purchase) ( I also have a Hot Wires 5 string flat wound set…pm me)

SR Technology Bass Fidelity 10 Combo

Updated pics to show: *Swapped the castors/wheels to slightly bigger but much better quality set. Easier to move without trolley. * Resprayed spk ‘mount’ face (from white to black) using high quality/tough product as the white paint was flaking a bit. This has improved the look and protection. Loaned recently a fellow bass player (who was in a spot) and he raved about the quality of this combo. Actually said it had ‘better’ tonal options than his beloved Mark bass separates🤫🤐🤷🏾♂️😎 Shamelessly bumped for more views… -

Nice one, Andy - I'm in. -
One of my favourite flyrigs. I just don’t use it. Basically a boost, big muff, ampeg amp sim and a Boss OC2 clone. It’s the same octave circuit as the Sonicake Octaver and Valeton OC10 which if you’ve seen my octaver comparisons nail that OC2 tone. DI out and fx loop, honestly if it had a tuner it would be perfect. But it doesn’t and I cover most of my gigs with the Darkglass Element

Layout pretty much complete. I was going to stagger the 6L6 positions but I went back to Morgan Jones's 'Building Valve Amplifiers' and he says that (1) you can get away with mounting power valves closer together as long as they are not showing each other the wide faces of their plates, (2) mounting valves in the middle of a chassis limits convection cooling. Consequently I now have the 6L6s lined up just inside the rear chassis edge, oriented so that they each see the thin edge of their neighbours' plates. I plan to have a tag strip running parallel to the row to terminate the 1ohm 1% bias sense resistors, and possibly some other stuff. I've also marked up the hole positions on the bias board - each side of the output transformer will have its own bias pot. There's likely to be a couple of weeks' break now for holidays and stuff, so bear with me.

Suuuuuper annoying when they're in front of the stage. If you're up the hill on Pyramid, you can't see anything happening on stage. Conversely, they're also super helpful when trying to find crowd as a landmark.

Which model as there can be a huge difference? The Brian Bromberg signature was and still is excellent.

Please don't bring Maroon 5 in to this. They really are the absolute worst. I'd honestly rather listen to Imagine Dragons or Kid Rock and I'd rather eat a fresh dog egg than listen to either of them.

I don't have Facebook so can't access that link. I suspect it's a Korean made 5 String Conklin Groove Tools? Guessing it's this one thats for sale for £550 on The Fretboard.
