Yea I think the 24/5 blocks is enough if there's more flexibility (like four basic delay blocks seems really unnecessary and restrictive, atleast give the option of swapping four for one other FX block) Personally I don't think the inbuilt interface is that big a deal although I assuming after the GX series it'll be updated. The tone studio software could do with some improvement thou. Tbh I don't even think a touch screen is necessarily if Bluetooth is included and the amp is decent. I think a NAM block is a no brainer, it would save having to add new amps or capturing process and give it best in class amp reproductions. I'd probably not complain if there was an option to purchase the plugout FX algorithms too just to get a dimension chorus effect for an extra £10 or even more for the new pitch shifter. If they managed to do some licensing deals with a handful of smaller boutique brands that would never be able to develop their own models of pedals to sell within the roland cloud it would epic. Having more accurate (to real world) controls for all amps and effects rather than, wider frequency range for the crossovers on the dividers. Having more control over the output settings either by having a large online library of amps that could be being played through or a sort of reverse capture/profiling process which takes snapshot of your amp/monitors and then applies it in a neutralising way to the output settings so as to get the most accurate reproduction of the units amp models.

Anyone know a Luthier who refrets Graphite Necks?
Gizmo replied to HeadlessBassist's topic in General Discussion
I CNC Slot make my own fretboards & builds, for this you'd be looking at cutting the slots to 0.7mm (so the width of the tangs as finding tangless fretwire is almost impossible) pre radius the fretwire cut to size and then slightly press the frets in with an arbour/fret press + CA/Super/epoxy glue to bond them down (because you wouldn't be able to tap the frets hoz to set the tangs), id set the cutting path for each fret line and cut them one at a time rather than as a single/full job, doing so would reduce any chance the the ordinal lines might be slightly off compared to the calibration of the current CNC vs the original cutting. Have a look at the side dot markers on this because on some fretless basses these can be positioned on the fretting line not in the centre of the fret, if that's the case you'd also need the side dots relocating -

Oh how I envy you Dave. Drives me mental. It's constant, even hear it will driving the old van. Never get a moments peace and it affects my sleep, neighbour upstairs must be pissed off if she can hear the white noise maker going all night. Hell I'm envious of the cause too. Riding bikes can be fun, was a moment's carelessness with a Hilti done me 🙁 Passed a young fella who was struggling, gave his gun a quick check, reload then a test shot. BAM. half the site took to their heels while the other half came running to see what had exploded 😳 Had to be a duff mix at the factory, data sheet says 137dB but it was louder than that. Powder didn't just drive the nail, it vaporised the cartridge. -

Yeah, probably do the same application with fretboard. Rosewood has a very open grain, and is a very porous wood, so I will be carefull...... any road up, can't go wrong with black,.... I have a few other dyes, I'll do samples, thanks Steve! your a Star.

Cort A4 with John East Uni Preamp. The preamp I fitted myself. Bass generally in good condition with a number of small dings on the lower and rear edges. General minor wear and tear. I still have original electrics [and knobs] and would include these. The bass plays really well and the sound is considerably improved with the East installed. Everything works. No issues with neck. Comes with an as new Thomann padded gig bag. More than welcome to come and try it out. The bass I bought second hand about 7 years ago on ebay if I remember correctly, and the preamp I bought here on Basschat about the same time . I have far too much equipment/basses and need to cut back. Ask any questions. Would prefer pick up although happy to send at buyers expense Firm £400

Thanks. There are several for sale by Japanese vendors, hence the reason for my Post -
Recently I’ve been listening to Moving On by Bitty McLean, I bought it when it came out and I’d forgotten just how good this album is , Robbie’s basslines are just perfect, I’ve noted a few down to re learn , it’s worth checking out if you haven’t already, there’s not one track that I don’t like

That's terrible! I hope you recover quickly. Lots of playing loud bass should help a bit.

I love Dire Straits. Every album is worth repeat listening, but for me the top three have to be Making Movies, Love over Gold and Dire Straits. Brothers in Arms is only demoted to fourth because the tracks on the CD are all longer than those on the LP and so I find they drag a bit. -
Sorry to report I have had a terrible accident. I accidentally drove to Camden tonight and bought a new gig bag. The old one was very tatty. Unfortunately the bass I had ordered to just try out, also accidentally left the shop in the bag after I accidentally paid for both of said items. A terrible state of affairs. I now have 4 basses! I am practically a hoarder now.
