Ooof, why would you do this to a Barefaced cab?
mcnach replied to ossyrocks's topic in Amps and Cabs
I've got a couple of those Two10 speakers, before the impedance switch was offered. The label is as on this one, but both of mine are 4 ohm, not 12. I guess they made the panel to show both, with the idea of covering one of the labels accordingly, but they didn't. Definitely something to check before use. -

Yes, this is an annoying 'feature' - at practice volume in the house, the DI output is very low level - the Master Vol should be at the input of the Power Amp not before the EQs
-
On a combo like this the tone stack is mostly compensating for the speaker/cab so any setting that doesn't take this in account is not particularly useful. The OP would probably be better off getting rid of this combo and buying that has been properly designed.

It looks like somebody got tired of the tolex peeling out. They had some issues in the beginning. -

Belper! I'm like you - was living on a narrowboat and put in at Willington theoretically for a winter. That was fifteen years ago.

I have one that a friend is trying to sell to me. It's an R Moreno 531. It's gorgeous. It's been sat in my studio since the last time I saw him. I will end up buying it! There's lots of little builders of classical guitars.

I use a Fishman Platinum Pro. Has a great DI, excellent one knob compressor, adjustable boost (triggered by footswitch), accurate tuner, mute function (on a footswitch) and a very nice EQ with HPF, plus some other useful features. There's one for sale here: The Platinum Stage is also excellent if you just need the eq, DI and boost features in a tiny package. There's tons of bass preamps available nowadays, not many have all the features I need but the Platinum Pro ticked all the boxes. Eliminated the need for a pedalboard with separate tuner and compression and I just take that one single box to gigs now. Bass Direct also have a used Genzler Magellan in at the moment: https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/product/genzler-magellan-preamp-di-pedal-pre-owned/?gQT=1

Hello there! Having only lived here for thirty seven years, I must confess to being a blow-in. I love the county and its surroundings. I knew it was the place to settle within a couple of hours of arriving. North Derbyshire is invigorating. Where are you?

I t can be done relatively easily with a round biscuit tin with an incandescent lightbulb in the centre. I have a friend who has made several banjo and camp uke bodies this way.

Hello Derbyshire homie!

Ireal pro is a great tool, but: 1. The chords are all user-contributed and very often not great quality. 2. The midi backing tracks are awful, and I can hear their influence on a lot of jazz I seem to be hearing these days. It is often played much too fast and square. £18 is pretty good value if you don't mind taking a tablet with you everywhere though. I prefer the New Orleans Jambook. There are chords for each song and they're better quality. If you've never seen this kind of lead sheet the chords at the top are for instruments tuned in C, and the melody is for instruments in Bb. A great starting point! A great resource and all free. https://cjam.lassecollin.se/

I quite like this cover version of 'Lady Madonna' by Lenny White. A young Chaka Khan on vocals along with a young Marcus Miller on Bass. They certainly made it their own...Some will say, in a good way, and I suspect some will say, in not such a good way:

I don't think this is the likely cause. Post pre-amp signal is normally taken before the feeed goes to the power amp so won't be affected by the master volume. My TecAmp works this way. I think this must be a design feature of the Rumble 100.
