  1. Past hour
  2. Im hoping the different density of mahogany Vs pine will give it that!
  3. Supernature - Cerrone
  4. A major difference between the 300 and 400 series was that the 400 had 24 frets, and a more compact bridge with the humbucker moved further back. The body was indeed more compact because of the deeper cutaways. Some later twin-pickup ATK's switched back to the old bridge, but it placed the pickups really close together because of that.
  5. Could do an Aria SB style finish - the red stain and pale natural stripe would work really well imo.
  6. Ever buy a bass and know you will be selling it within a few hours :(

  7. I’d say it’s more subtle, although when it’s fully counterclockwise it gets nice and smooth. The few times I’ve used it I tended use it max out on either side. Greg the owner of Celebrity Pedals is very responsive on Instagram/Reverb/his own website if you want to ask for exact specs!
  8. Update: This weekend the mould for a SR5 neck with a 42mm wide nut will be constructed. Neck heel will be 68.7mm wide @ 21 fret and 28.4mm deep. Initially the neck is for myself, a sample for marketing so it'll feature some custom options such as inlays, rosewood fingerboard and maybeeeeee fingerboard binding. No fretboard extension though because of the capstan truss rod adjustment.
  9. Thought you'd moved away from the P basses @Lozz196 Looks like a decent crowd for you too. Nice stage set up. Plenty of space. Nice one. Dave
  10. For anyone in or around London, wanting to attend the Nick Smith Memorial Show in Peterborough tomorrow, I have room in the car and will be leaving from Uxbridge/Hillingdon/West Ruislip around 10.30am. Message me if you want to be my co-pilot!
  11. Oli Foxen of Ampstack used to specialise in vintage British valve amps. Used to post regularly on here but disappeared a long time ago. You can find him on Instagram, YouTube etc.
  12. Yes, they're great aren't they. The jazz club in the pic held about 180 and I didn't need to line out to the PA. It was enough. Mind you, we weren't doing any Megadeath covers😆
  13. Pardon my ignorance, but is this switchable active / passive or just active?
  14. Bump with price drop... £75
  15. Good mornin' to ya. DoI? You're doomed! Doomed I tell ye!
  16. Today
  17. Thanks for the warm welcome all! I'll keep my eyes peeled for the DoI 🫡
  18. Mvave chocolate plus will do if you want a cheap alternative
  19. No cover, though there was a cover that it lived in but I've taken that now for my hartke. I can't remember exactly but it came direct from EBS in Sweden in 2019 I think about autumn time. So coming up to 6 years, been well looked after.
  20. For me it was jam nights and pub gigs where I met various musicians and it started from there, not just bands but making musician friends who introoduce you to others etc. However they tend to be around my age though (50s to 60s), the young ones generally want to play with their own generation! The other thing is to meet up with guitarists and drummers, so, if you're desperate check out, ads in the music shop (chatting to the staff also good), guitar and drum forums and search for the area of interest to narrow it down. Also there are quite a few ads for bassists here on BC, so maybe some are ideal or close to your preferences, so that chatting with them might lead to other musicians they know looking too.
  21. I actually prefer a direct sale, but it always depends. Maybe you can send me your ideas via pm.
  22. This is an interesting one. While I don't dislike rolled fretboard edges I sometimes wonder if I'm the only one who feels that too much is made of them from a marketing point-of-view. I'm unphased when I play a bass that doesn't have them. Maybe a solution to a problem that never was?
