Which reminds me - I have an old Jedson catalogue (this bass is a "Model 4457 Two-Pickup Bass" which cost £32.40 new!) and I'd promised ModMachine I'd scan it & stick it on his build thread. Has a what? What he means is that the cheapsh!t bridge fitted to these was bending under string tension (as they all seem to) so someone jammed a bit of steel rod across the back to hold it straight!
