Just an update on things... Having now counted them up it now seems that we have about 70 sets of strings donated from Hartke (via Korg, their new distributor) plus one of the Bass Attack Pedals, which retails at £99 at GAK, so many thanks to them for supporting what we're doing and making such a great contribution to the cause!!

And we learned today that Hartke are also going to contribute one of these which is a great piece of kit:

And here's some blurb about it here:
[i]
"The Hartke A100 Limited Edition Bass Amp Combo, Silver is a powerful combo amplifier that includes a matched 8 ohm aluminum bass speaker in a specially designed cabinet, which can be used in a typical flat floor position or in its special "kickback" position for increased high end clarity and sound dispersion.

The Hartke A100 Limited Edition Silver delivers 100 watts to its 15-inch aluminum bass driver. The Hartke A100 Limited Edition is perfect for use in small venues or home recording studios. Plus, the CD input and dedicated headphone output make it an ideal practice amp.

The A100's bipolar circuit design ensures that every nuance of your bass performance is reproduced faithfully. Additionally, bass and treble along with a high-quality 7-band graphic equalizer provide you with finer tone control.

A variable limiter, XLR balanced outputs, passive and active inputs and an effects loop round out the comprehensive features on this versatile combo.
So do we buy tickets here or at the bassbash?

Also shouldnt we possibly split the strings into smaller lots? More winners :)

Also if i participated and won my pedal back.... well that would suck!
Whichever is easiest for you Rob? And, yes - we'll split the strings up to make more lots..And we won't let you win your pedal back!!

Yes, buy at the bash unless you're not attending in which case donate to BassChat, PM ped and myself with your details (i.e. how much you contributed and how many tickets that equals!)

Strings will be split into lots of 5 or 10 I imagine.

You will get to choose after the first 2 drawn tickets - they win the Hartke amp and pedal in that order, after that it's a free choice :)

Updated list on first post....

Hi Matt

Of course... If I recall correctly it was:

1st Prize - Hartke A100s Combo went to Pete Young
2nd Prize - Hartke Bass Attack Pedal went to Shockwave
3rd Prize - went to Merton and he chose the 'Standing in the Shadows of Motown' book that was donated by Clarky

After that, it was a bit of a blur to be honest! :)

A big thanks to everyone on the Forum who donated stuff for the raffle and also to Gareth at Hartke/Korg!

Another bit of good news is that, as I understand it from ped, Bass Guitar Magazine have donated some annual subscriptions that we are going to be able to offer to try to bring the overall amount raised up to as close to £500 as we can.. Not sure how many we have yet but we are going to offer them out at £15 each..

As soon as we get more news, we'll announce it.

Cheers

Nik

Hi Guys

Sorry for the delay in posting this but we were waiting for the Ed at BGM who's been on holiday..

OK; we have been very kindly donated five Bass Guitar Magazine subscriptions that we can offer at £15.00 each which is an absolute bargain! One was taken and paid for by Silddx on the day of the Bash, so that means we have just four left.

It's first come first served I'm afraid, so if you want one, send a PM or post here!

Cheers

Nik
