BassTractor Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Thanks for posting this, @steve-bbb. I had no lsdea whatsoever that they were being active. Whilst sounding very nice, Woodeneye, to me, is far from the most innersting song they've made. Still: what a treat with those rows of chords, and what a promise. I'm sure to purchase LSD on CD. BassTractor Posted September 30 Posted September 30 (edited) Here's the first single from LSD. Glorious! Edited September 30 by BassTractor 1 Quote
BassTractor Posted September 30 Posted September 30 (edited) ... and here's the third. Glorious once more, and (again) it reminds me of Stereolab and also a bit of The Free Design. Edited October 1 by BassTractor 1 Quote
dudewheresmybass Posted September 30 Posted September 30 I'm quite enjoying it. It's like all the best bits of the band all in one place Quote
nige1968 Posted September 30 Posted September 30 I blubbed like a tiny pukey baby first time I heard the album. And the next 20 or so times after that. Despite what it took to get the record over the line, and the odd bit of tedious session brass / already-released material notwithstanding, it is the actual real thing and reeks of Cardiacs like a stinky ripe Cardiacs-flavoured cheese. And is probably unlistenable to 99% of the folks I know. Actually, strike the probably. 3 Quote

Owen Posted September 30 Posted September 30 The older I get the more lax I get with reading what is actually there. And proof reading, but will come as no suprise to my followers. Imagine my surprise when I did not hear The Cardigans when I pressed play. 1 2 Quote

Aye, and to help us elderly, they should from now on be called Cardi G. This here is Cardi A, and who knows: there might even be more of these. Edited October 1 by BassTractor 1 Quote
jonno1981 Posted October 1 Posted October 1 It’s absolutely nuts, complex, fascinating, entertaining and funny. It’s brilliant! 2 Quote
Musicman20 Posted October 3 Posted October 3 I am very late to this band, but got a ticket for the Manchester show next year. What a fantastic, complex and bizarre band they are. I am gutted I won't ever see them with Tim. Quote
