binky_bass Posted April 23, 2025 Posted April 23, 2025 Right, this one is a tough one... it really subtle, but can you spot the problem with this post? Quote
rwillett Posted April 23, 2025 Posted April 23, 2025 Is it the metal used for the pickguard screws? Quote
E sharp Posted April 23, 2025 Posted April 23, 2025 (edited) Is it the poor spelling all across the description? Edited April 23, 2025 by E sharp Quote
Hellzero Posted April 23, 2025 Posted April 23, 2025 Epiphanies less Paul, but there's no Paul in Epiphanies, so how could he become less. 3 Quote

binky_bass Posted April 23, 2025 Author Posted April 23, 2025 Also selling a Yamaha Pacifica 112 for £500 (down from £900 last week!) and a 'new' Ibanez Talman for £560 despite them being £250 new from any retailer. Pipe dreams or scammer?? Quote

Graham_C Posted April 24, 2025 Posted April 24, 2025 We could factor in some kind of disability and maybe be a little kinder? 1 Quote

Given the clear lies about having 'just bought it yesterday from a shop' and then advertising several guitars at 3 to 4 times RRP, I think we can factor that out. The below Ibanez Talman is £229 new, so him 'buying it yesterday' and saying that even at £560 it's 'loosing him money' is, to say the least, utter crªp. Edited April 24, 2025 by binky_bass Quote
Graham_C Posted April 25, 2025 Posted April 25, 2025 They're also selling kids clothes and toys for daft amounts. I wouldn't rule anything out, but what would I know? 1 Quote

Richard R Posted May 11, 2025 Posted May 11, 2025 (edited) Yes. They said "Take your market stall and dodgy goods elsewhere, we've got enough problems with the Romans without your sort too" Edited May 11, 2025 by Richard R Though it should be pointed out they were replying to Paul the Guitarist, not Paul the Apostle 3 Quote
Owen Posted May 28, 2025 Posted May 28, 2025 Ooh! Ooh! I have a joke which is super niche, but I think this is the moment. My friend, who never showed any interest in music, phoned me. “I was on eBay last week and I saw the most beautiful thing. It was a guitar and I could not stop myself. I hit BIN and it arrived yesterday. I don’t know why I had never clocked these before”. “So you had an epiphany?” I asked. “No” he replied, quite put out. “It’s a proper Gibson!”. 3 Quote
