It's already a large estate... the car, not the house...

To be fair I could  borrow a sheep trailer. Might need a little cleaning out but then any bass will be genuinely "road worn". There's a bit of worry about the smell but I'm sure the sheep won't mind...

Do you have time to 3D print a pantechnicon?

This year I might address my prejudices and try playing a g&l and a Ric, if there are any present.

I will have my ric, although maybe too stringy for most :D

When I get back from London, I'll drop the back seat down and put my stuff in first and see how much space is left.

You are welcome to the glove compartment and that little cubby hole between the two front seats. Oh yes, and the top box 😊 let's not forget that.

With the back seats down, there's circa 1620 litres, top box is another 500 litres.

let's see how many I can get in and work from there.

I'm setting off from M6 J20-ish with space in my car. If you want to ferry stuff to me on or before Saturday, I could take it and bring it back for you.

I was thinking of this with regard to a temporary lecture theatre situation I have to set up soon. As it's for work not play, I've ordered ten feet of cable guard, but I can bring it along.

If anyone wants to buy some, this seems to be a good deal 10 feet (3m) for £16.99. Beware lots of what look like good solutions are self-adhesive for semi-permanent uses, and I'm fairly sure folk will want versions with a grip underneath for temporary use.

I may get commission if you use this link, but it won't cost you extra: https://amzn.to/426GFTI

Just ordered 4 lengths on behalf of the Bash for delivery tomorrow.

Thanks for this. We'll work it out one way or another, if all else fails I'll leave @neepheid here and use his seat for the cabs.

Smart move Rob. That would also get you the 'furthest travelled' award this year.

You could fasten him to the front grille bin-lorry style?
you’d have to do that or he’ll wreck your house whilst you’re gone

don’t feed him after midnight and don’t get water on him …

Maybe you could share for bashes with people transporting it around? We’d have to find a way to repay you for the investment though

As long as you remember to keep your mouth shut.

I'll try to remember to tell him... He'll probably work it out though, he's pretty clever...

Mine seems good, but the two ends are curled up a bit. Might try pouring boiling water over the ends if they don't flattened out, but currently it's in the lounge with a wooden cat on one end and a chair on the other.

Hair dryer

had a similar issue with rubber door trim today on partners horse box

used a wooden lolly stick to get it back in position (trim, not partner or horse box)

Good movie that, though not as good as 2.

Thanks Stubbs - I wondered how I would recognise @neepheid at the bash.

It is beginning to dawn on me the enormity of the task that lies ahead of me.  14 basses (15 if I get my JC fixed in time), 2 amps, the ironmongery.  I know I keep saying "go big or go home" but is it getting silly?

I certainly wouldn't bring 15 basses (well, I only have 12 or so), I just bring 2 or 3 that are different from usual so people can see. I mean people are too busy eating anyway :D

I'm thinking I shall just bring the HB with the Roland V-bass system fitted, and an amp. The Brawleys are really nice to play, and unusual, but I think more people will be interested in the V-bass.
