He'll possibly be looking into buying back the company though. ...and he did. Bax is reopening under the old, fired CEO Jochanan Bax and an investor. Quote

Tmight seem that way for Dutch and Belgian customers, who've had a good shop in Bax, unlike our British brethren, but the CNV workers union had earlier stated than Jochanan was a terrible CEO - one of the worst they'd seen. They'd love a restart ... if it was without him. The CNV is to come with a new statement today. 1 1 Quote
Bolo Posted May 4 Posted May 4 (edited) From the Dutch news: " NOS News • Friday, 22:48 Bankrupt Bax Music makes a fresh start with former director Bankrupt Bax Music is making a fresh start. Jochanan Bax, founder and former director, and investor Stijn Bakkeren are taking over the company. This is evident from an email from the curators to the dismissed staff, in the possession of Omroep Zeeland . Bax Music is one of the largest stores for musical instruments and equipment in Europe. Early last month, the company was declared bankrupt . It had been in financial trouble for some time and had previously filed for suspension of payments. Bax Music was founded in 2003 by two brothers, Nathanael and Jochanan Bax. Due to a conflict with the other shareholders, Jochanan, the sole board member, was fired earlier this year. Shortly before the bankruptcy declaration, Jochanan Bax already announced that he wanted to make a fresh start with the company in the event of bankruptcy. That now seems to have succeeded. In the e-mail from the curator, it can be read that he is trying to keep the majority of the staff. Bax Music employed approximately 300 people. Jochanan Bax was not yet available for comment on Friday evening" Edited May 4 by Bolo 1 Quote
neepheid Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Hmm, looks like tentative signs of life at Bax 2.0... just got this email: "After a hectic and challenging period, we're excited to be back doing what we love most: helping you make music. We noticed you still have an open backorder with us, and we’d love to help you get it sorted! Our team is ready to assist in getting your order to you, so you can focus on what really matters: making music. Please reach out to us at [email protected] so we can get in touch and make sure you receive exactly what you ordered. Thank you again for your patience and continued trust in Bax Music. We can’t wait to make you smile with your gear! Musically yours, The Bax Music Team" Well, if they're going to honour the original order, sure, have at it! 2 Quote
Woodinblack Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Seems like you still can't order from them in general though, but the site is at least still there. I imagine they have a lot of stuff to work through Quote
