Barrie (molan) must have a thing for Demeter preamps, as many years ago I bought his early ‘90’s Eden VT.40 head which similarly has a Demeter pre (though probably not as posh as this one.....).  Still going strong.

could explain the Jensen DI add on?  I understand about valve DIs (I am the proud possessor of a Noble)...I just can't see what you mean....

I'm not  technical so this is what James says..."We offer upgrades for Jensen transformer Direct outputs and a line level effects loop." (studio quality Jensen DB-E balanced output transformer)

The Demeter as far as I’m aware doesn’t come with a DI as standard, it’s an upgrade option

I had one of these (without the di) and I got mine from Barrie's old shop too.

 

It was superb. I still don't know why I sold it. Probably because I'm an idiot.
