Designed to be a convenient alternative to the upright bass that apparently some session players used in the 80's? This is one of the later 'Fender' licensed versions that I bought from the forum several years ago. Haven't used it much so off it goes. Overall in very good shape although I have unfortunately added a chip in the front edge - See pics.
