Shuker Jazz 6-string circa 2003 - £1000 (Price drop) £1200 Norwich, Norfolk

Hi all, due to apparently never ending GAS I've decided to clear out a couple of my basses to make room for some new arrivals. This one is a 2003 Shuker Jazz 6 string with a stunning translucent blue flame-maple top, in frankly excellent condition for its age. I bought it back in 2019 from Mark at Bass Direct hoping to move up from 5 string but I never felt quite comfortable with the extra string and so wasn't confident enough to gig the bass. So its has sat largely either in its case or on a stand ever since. There are some minor marks here and there, especially on the top/back of the head-stock but otherwise its very clean.

Swamp ash body

Blueburst gloss finish

Ebony Fingerboard

34’ scale

5 piece maple/wenge/flame maple neck

19mm string spacing

Active Basslines pickups and 3 band EQ with volume and pickup-pan

Comes with hard case

 

I'm not interested in trades I'm afraid as I already have too many basses and I need the cash to pay for the new ones I've just bought!

 

Am happy to post a video of the bass in action if required. Will consider shipping to mainland UK (usually around £30-40 uninsured) or will drive to within 100 mile radius of Norwich for additional £20.

It is very pretty! Its taken me a while to accept the idea of moving it on as I really wanted to get the most out of it, but I'm just not getting the time with it to properly get to grips... I think moving to 6-string is a bit more of a commitment than going from 4 up to 5-string.

Nice one.The binding makes for an outstanding look. You don't see that too often with bass guitars.

Hi @Higgie, the bathroom scales say around 4.9kg/10.8lbs... not particularly scientific but feels about right.
