  2. At the Lefay level, air get's really, really thin.

  4. I have one of these sixers. That's a special one.
  5. Smells like some sleepless nights.
  6. I consider the GWB35 as exceptional bang for the buck. Plus these upgrades, it looks like a nobrainer.
  7. Very interesting bass. I own one of these since last year. Super duper ergonomics. Body shape, neck profile. It's really easy to handle. The feel of the open Wenge is just great. I love these open, grainy woods. The curved Bartos provide an even, balanced response. The tone has a distinct midrange, lot's of character to work with. There's a bit of roaring grit and nastiness to it.

  10. Here's mine. Pimped with Bassculture pickus, I then removed the active electronics. The story, many years ago in a small German bassists community a member offered it for a ridiciously low price. Links to sound files proofed it souds great. No one jumped on it, it just sat there. Finally I couldn't hold back and wrote "ok, send it over." Came out: great tool, distict, articulate, midrangy tone with great rhythmic clarity. My drummer loves it and in case I'm gonna sell it, he opts to buy it first in order it doesn't get lost.
  11. If I hadn't one of the 3 best fretless there are... If it only had a neck pickup...
  12. Nice one.The binding makes for an outstanding look. You don't see that too often with bass guitars.
  13. After selling the first 5er, I bought another 5er Herr Schwarz. But I'm a 6er-guy.
  14. That was my very first Lefay. A 5er Herr Schwarz which I bought from a Cologne based pro bassist.
  15. My Lefay Herr Schwarz 6. The very first Herr Schwarz 6. Still one of my main weapons. After some years I added a third pickup and then changed to Nordstream pickups for more meaniness.
  16. Better than having a solution with no according problem...
  17. Request declined. Yes. Although I like to mention that the DiMarzio P is awfully microphonic. You can hear each tipp on it's cover. Not useful. I went through several P-pickups whereof I liked the Aguilar the most. Finally decided for this Lace combination for unusualness.
  18. Yeah, I'm the previous owner and I still miss this beast. This is THE ROCK BASS. But I'm sold to 6-string basses and do not become comfortable with 4 strings. sigh Luthier work was done by Sign Guitars in Aachen, Germany.
