I've been using Bass Direct since before Mark had a shop, and I've always received exemplary service from them. I've been using Bass Bros for the last two years. Again, I've had nothing but exemplary service from them as well. I think people should remember that both are small shops, staffed by knowledgeable, but small workforces. They don't have 24 hour call centres or customer service centres. They probably receive dozens of emails and telephone enquiries each day. As such, it's easy for them to miss one or think they've replied to an email when they haven't. It's also a simple matter to follow your enquiry up with another email or a call if you don't get a reply. We should be supporting these fantastic businesses, rather than criticising them over silly things. Did I meet you in Bass Direct last Saturday? In there with your lady? I was demoing a used Warwick Corvette 5 upstairs (now sold but not to me). Edited October 11 by Terry M. Quote

tauzero Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago I was just having a little look at the Bass Bros website and the filters seem to have stopped working. Tried with Chrome and Firefox, and then on my phone with the Adblock browser (descended from Chrome). Oddly, on my phone the list of filters included a line saying "New filterCondition" which looks distinctly wrong. Is anyone else finding this? Did have a look at the page source but it's pretty unpleasant and I haven't done HTML or Javascript properly for a few years. Quote

Yup, I just checked in Chrome and Edge, filters do hee haw when you click on them - they should present a drop down menu to choose from, yes? Quote

Chris2112 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I don't know if anyone else here does it but the daily check-in on Bass Bros is a ritual for me now. I always want to see what new stuff they have! In this field, they have a clear edge over Bass Direct. After a large update a while ago, I found the Bass Direct site had become such a mess and such a faff to navigate that I had stopped looking at it unless I was going there for something I wanted. I like the fact that on Bass Bros, you just click the page and immediately see the new offering. 1 Quote

I don't go to either websites often, but I do find the bass direct one easier to find what I am looking for. I guess it is different if you are looking for just new stuff every day Quote
chris_b Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The Bass Bros website seems to have been upgraded and it seems easier to navigate and more consistent. Plus they have a couple of very nice Mo Foster basses for sale. Quote
