MrT-Bass Posted July 2, 2021 Posted July 2, 2021 (edited) Here is my first ever 5 string...a lovely bass in good condition except for a small ding on the rear of the upper horn. Lovely player, strung E to C at them moment and comes with a Tribal Planet semi-hard case. Weight 4kg Approx. Not keen on shipping but can do - £Sold (Buyer pays shipping) Edited November 28, 2022 by MrT-Bass Sold 1
Daz39 Posted July 2, 2021 Posted July 2, 2021 I had a red one of these for about 20 years: lovely to play. 1
MrT-Bass Posted July 2, 2021 Author Posted July 2, 2021 It's a great bass...If it doesn't sell I'll probably keep it! Really nice sound and works pretty well with the high C!!
therealting Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 A couple of my friends had these when I was a teenager and I really wanted one! Ended up picking up a demo MkI TRB6 (amazing instrument, still have and love it), but never got to scratch this itch! 1
Machines Posted July 5, 2021 Posted July 5, 2021 I've got a red one. The EQ is very usable and doesn't overpower on any setting, has great tones in all positions. One for sale 'in Camden' at £475 currently so this is a good price. 1
Rich Posted July 5, 2021 Posted July 5, 2021 I had a red one as my first decent fiver. A great bass, which is still going strong in a beautifully defretted state courtesy of Mr Shuker. Yamaha basses offer near unbeatable VFM in my opinion. GLWTS. 2

This was my first 5'er too and is an excellent bass. I think as I've grown more accustomed to tighter string spacing this one is just sitting in a case. It's a shame for it be unused so time to move it on!! Edited July 5, 2021 by MrT-Bass
MrT-Bass Posted July 21, 2021 Author Posted July 21, 2021 Anyone in the market for one of these? A cracking instrument...needs to be played!!
Delberthot Posted July 23, 2021 Posted July 23, 2021 I also have a red one for when I need a 5 string. It must have been around this time last year when there were a few of us all trying to get the same bass. I didn't but managed to find one locally. Surprised that this is still here. They're fantastic basses for very little money 1
MrT-Bass Posted July 31, 2021 Author Posted July 31, 2021 Accepting near offers if there’s anyone interested…!!
MrT-Bass Posted September 3, 2021 Author Posted September 3, 2021 Price drop £250 (Buyer pays shipping) I'm based 10 miles outside the M25 north-west of London for anyone local who wants collect.

I decided to reduce the price and let it go to someone who wanted to play it. Seems a shame to have it sitting here without being played. 1
