BassBus Posted November 11, 2009 Share Posted November 11, 2009 Can't speak for the synth pedal but I've just bought dangee's Super Booster. Such simple controls and a wealth of sound possibilities. I've tried basses through BDDI, Fishman, Zoom. Much as I can get a great EQed sound through my Zoom, it's not easy to adjust it on the hop. mark_random Posted November 11, 2009 Share Posted November 11, 2009 Hi guys. I thought I'd update you on the situation as I understand it. Here at GAK, we have all of the pedals on order. Currently, we have the Compressor, DI Box, Super Booster and the Chorus/Flanger in stock. So far, I've been blown away by the pedals we have had in. Even the chorus, an effect that I'm not usually a fan of, is stunning. Loads of control over the effect and lush, rich tones. The compressor is the best of any that we stock and nearly everyone who has tried one has ended up walking away with one. As for the the availablity of the rest of the range, I can't say for sure. However, we are still able to offer interest free finance on most of our products. I'll post on here as soon we get them in stock and we can discuss finance options. They are online at £266. As for comparisons with the Deep Impact, I would suggest that it can do a little more. Having now opened up the editing software, the possibilities for experimentation are vastly expanded. Each preset has three oscillators with in depth controls as well as precise control over the envelope, filter and note dynamics. As for sound quality, it's been a long time since I've heard a Deep Impact but I would suggest that it would have to go some to be better than the Super Synth. It is much, much fatter and warmer than any other synth pedal we currently stock and can almost sound keyboardesque given the right tweaking. Overall, I would say that I am very impressed. The pedal itself offers you plenty of variety and when connected via USB, I would say that most players will easily find the sounds they are after.
