1. This has been my backup bass for years now, sadly as it's not getting much use and I want to get a fretless I've decided it's time to sell. Aria Pro 2 Magna MAB 20 4 string bass Candy Apple Red Black Hardware Passive Precision and Jazz Pickups 3.31 Kilos Nice playing bass and a good range of tones. I believe it was manufactured in the early 90s. If it's sold face-to-face I will include a basic soft case, if a courier I will include a post-worthy but not really a gig-worthy generic flight case (which I need to get back from the keyboard player I work with!
2. Brilliant thanks Bill! Great advice, slightly worried about it falling over when I do a maquee gig with a sloping stage but Hey it's a cheapish amp! Ta very much
3. Hello everyone, many years since I've posted to the forum, so I hope this slightly odd question will not be met with too much distain. This week I've taken delivery of a BF One 10 to replace a very old Peavey 15" that I'm sick of carrying around on gigs. I've just used it on a gig tonight with my Hartke ha3500 and I absolutely loved it. Definately lost a tiny bit of super low end but everything else is so responsive and tight sounding; mega happy! So this brings me to my question, I don't have much disposibal income, the BF 1 10 was a massive investment for me and I'm really happy with it. The hartke is a respectable cheap amp and I'm really happy with the combination soubdwise, however the hartke footprint is obviously bigger than the tiny BF and does not sit securely on top of the BF cab. Will I do the hartke head any damage placeing it on its end next to the BF. I appreciate this is may be ridiculous idea but I just want to get a workable solution for gigs and having just looked at camping tables (ha) and thinking the whole point of the BF is less gear on gigs I thought this might be the way forward. I'd love to buy a new head but just don't have the money at the moment. Help!?
4. Please keep an eye out Ladies and Gents *****Update! Stolen from Leyland, Lancashire. Serial Number; V111398*** Fender 1964 Jazz Bass Relic NOS (NB this was manufactured around 2000 as a replica of a model from 1964) Value approx £1200 In Black, Scratch plate and pickup covers removed. Lacquer chipped off on top 'heel' of body of guitar. Quite dusty and dirty underneath the strings on the body. (Jamerson style) Additionally I have fitted strap lock strap holders which protrude just under an inch from the surface of the instrument. It had a black nylon strap attached with these strap locks. The above makes it quite distinctive from other basses of same model in black. Unfortunately I do not have a record of the serial number at present. The bass was in a STAGG Soft case like the photo attached. 5. Hi, Looking to upgrade the bag I use for my bass stand, 4ways, music stand, and folders of parts for my covers band. So far (5yrs) I've been using a Tesco 'bag for life' lol Anyway ive been looking at various builders power tools bags but just wondered if anyone had any good tips for a classier and hardcore solution.
6. Hi, been quite a few years since since I been on here properly thought it was worth reintroducing myself. I play in a funk soul covers wedding and events band and also an original house/garage dance music band. Will update with gear lists and or sound links if anyone's interested. Anyway I'm off to the misc section to ask a question bout gig bags for the extra odds and sods you have to take to gigs. Ha Peace ☺
7. hi guys, thought you might wanna check out this little teaser vid from my new new project. everything is triggered and played live. My bass system involves a sonnus midi converter and a nord modular synth which lets me do pretty much anything.... hope you like it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8osQ-LDKix8
8.
Nice. I really like Business Step. Do you put the bass through the Nord?
Thanks! The audio signal does go through the nord but its generally just low passed and sometimes might have a lfo on the volume that syncs up with the lfo on the filter of the high end. The high end is generated from midi signals created from the bass if you follow me.. So the bass goes throught the nord in 2 ways, audio and midi....
9. Used to read this thread loads a few years ago. Finally got my new band up and running and got some sounds on the net. My set up is based around a Fretless Yamaha 4-string and a Nord Modular Synth. See what you think: http://soundcloud.com/gomaband/caveman-skank-riddim - all the sub and high synth bass part is created using my system http://soundcloud.com/gomaband/business-step-vocals-coming - all sub parts and the vocal synth sound that hits on beat one of the heavy section is created using the system. The other 2 melodic bass parts are created by the EWI and synth player in the band. Be interested to hear your thoughts...
