<snip>

Bought this here: https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/343049-sold-shuker-custom-6-string-bass-with-hiscock-hardcase-excellent-condition-free-uk-postage-or-£25-off-eu-postage-£695/

It's in the exact same condition as I received it. It's an almost perfect bass with a thin (flat) neck and a great modern tone - clear, articulate, and strong. There is however one issue I have noticed - there is an intermittent hiss (noise) that shows up when playing for a while.

I paid to have the bass checked at my local guitar technician shop but he couldn't find any issue in the wiring or connections. I cannot figure if there is some problem in the bass or in my signal chain / rig.

I have decided to sell it as 6-strings are not for me and I need to raise funds for another purchase (GAS strikes eternal).  The bass will ship in the Shuker Hiscox case that I received it in.

The price is what it cost me so far in euros (shipping, technician check, etc.) I have taken into account the price of the previous sale, the 25gbp shipping discount, the actual shipping costs (i arranged it with UPS standard), and other costs incurred.

Borrowing the description from the previous sale (link above):

"This things is an amazing bass, it has dual EMG soapbar pickups which provide a vast array of tones from hi-fi clarity to deep bassy lows. I believe the pre-amp is a Seymour Duncan 3 band, it has Volume, blend, bass, mid, treble controls and works beautifully with the EMG pickups.

The tuners are Gotoh reso-lite tuners and the bridge pieces are individual hipshot mono-rail bridges. Scale length: 34" String spacing: 18mm Weight: 4.5kg Both the top wood and back wood are AAAA quilt maple, it has a beautiful 3D effect and is about as good as you can get from quilt maple!

The body core is mahogany and with 5 laminate neck (maple, wenge, flame maple, wenge, maple). The fretboard is a beautiful piece of birdseye maple and plays as good as it looks. The overall construction is absolutely impeccable, the bass has very few marks on it anywhere, there is one light scratch on the upper bout, but besides that it's almost mint. To custom order a bass like this now would set you back over £3000, so I'm sure someone will get an incredible deal here."

I think it is an incredible deal still.

@ambient, please tell me you got this!

It's a stunning bass and Vic is VERY nice to sell it at the same price I sold it to him for!

It is undoubtedly worth more.

This is why Basschat is awesome.

Buyer gets a good deal and passes it on for the same price when the time comes. Nuff respect.

I am selling this P/J Jazz bass with EMG electronics.
I have over £800 in materials invested in this bass so I am selling it at a loss. I just want to move it on so that I can start on the next builds I have planned.
The the body and the neck are painted in nitrocellulose from a rattle can. The finish on the body is not 100% perfect and there are a few tiny rub throughs of the black. Perfect for a relic finish if you are into that kind of thing.
      Hardware is:
The body was bought new from pcguitars on ebay USA. It was an unfinished Alder P/J Jazz body that fits Fender necks P250
The neck is of unkown origin. The flame in the maple is lovely.
      38mm nut.
Tuners - lightweight hipshot - Black
Pick ups - Kent Armstrong J and P pickups
Electrics - EMG Active - One volume per pickup. EMG BTS Control, 2-Band EQ for bass guitar, features broader single-pole filters. High and Bass +/- 12 db, 4 selectable frequencies for the treble control (2100, 3500, 4500, 7000 Hz
      Bridge  - Goto - Black
Weight on my not very accurate bathroom scales = 3.7kg
      Gig Bag included
      Any questions please ask.
Location is Exeter. I would rather not post as I don't have a hard case for it. Happy to meet up (safely) within reasonable distance.

I'm coming round to only wanting to play rosewood boards now so I'm looking to move this neck on that I got a while back.
      It's a 2008 MIJ 3 bolt Marcus miller Sig.
I'll add more pics of wear and tear etc. Shortly.
      It's in generally decent condition.
Frets have minimal wear and a bit of tarnish on them.
Truss rod turning fine, microtilt working fine
Nice bit of flame on the back. The fingerboard has one bit where a string has been pushed down hard and rubbed the lacquer off a bit. I've tried to photo it and a couple of tiny little lacquer rubs on it.
The binding has a few chips out of it.
The back of the neck is pretty clean too a couple of little tiny dings in the lacquer but otherwise good.
Reverse wind Tuners are a little stiff so could do with a little service to get them really smooth but turn fine and hold well.
Found this pretty hard to price up so have put it up at the same value as the only other 2 I could find online (Reverb) but happy to hear from BCers if it's worth more or less.
Happy to take the neck of if theres serious interest and you want heel pics etc.
      Price includes UK postage.

It's with a heavy heart I'm selling my beautiful, custom ACG 6-String bass. Specific details of this instrument can be found on the ACG website (https://www.acguitars.co.uk/project/0270salceetype6/)
I've owned this bass since new, having seen Alan's amazing work whilst attending the Moffat bass bash and knew I had to have one of his instruments. Unfortunately it's not getting played as much as it deserves so I feel it needs to find a new home.
      Body:
Top Wood: Figured Maple with Faded Black Finish.
Body Wood: Swamp Ash with Dirty Finish.
      Body Finish: Satin Lacquer
      Neck:
      Neck Wood: 5 piece Wenge/Bubinga
Finger Board: Acrylic Impregnated Spalted Maple
      Scale: 34″
      Neck Finish: Satin Lacquer
      Hardware:
      Pickups: ACG FB Humbuckers
Hardware: ETS Tuning/Bridge unit ACG Custom Headpiece  Schaller Straplocks,
      Pre-amp: ACG/East P-Retro with 4-way rotary pickup selector.
£1600, I will consider a part ex (up to £600 value) for the right bass, I do however need at least £1000 cash out of the sale. New, this bass would cost £2795. It's in fantastic condition and comes with a heavily padded Fusion gig bag. Collection from Newcastle upon Tyne, I'd really rather not post but will meet buyers a reasonable distance from Newcastle to facilitate a sale.
This ad is a relist of the original, I have recently moved house and needed to update my location.

Hi, for sale here is a Yamaha BBG4A - mk 2 in a lovely deep red.
The bass is in good condition with only one ding I can find on the top horn (pictured). The gold metal work has started to tarnish slightly, but I think that only adds to the appeal.
The eagle eyed amongst you may have spotted this is currently wearing piccolo strings, for the sale it'll be back to standard round strings, but if you'd like the piccolos ill leave it as is for an extra tenner.
Pick up preferred near Honiton, but can drop off at a gig if my band is coming near you anytime soon, dates here - http://www.cloudbustingkatebushtribute.com/dates.html
or there's postage, buyer can sort own courier or I can post for the extra cost.
